I like this idea of a vape party. Sorry to see it's not going to be in the DC/Rockville area, since I see that you, StarChacer are practically my neighbors. I would have liked to come along. :(

Let me know if you guys are going to do another one local.

I have like thirty flavors steeping, If you would like to meet up, just pm me and I will give you my cell phone #.

Happy vaping!!!

I have a couple of liquids that gunk up the cartos quickly. So far I've had good luck cleaning them and using them again with the same flavor. When I clean them (syringe method) all the dark liquid rinses out. I don't think the total life of the cartos are as long though as those filled with lighter colored liquids, but I like these flavors well enough to tolerate the shortened carto life.

Yes you can use it, i did it many times. It cleans better and dries faster.
I normally use 90%-95% alcohol for even faster drying times.

You guys are talking about grain alcohol, right? Like Everclear? Isopropyl alcohol isn't meant for consumption. (And besides, how would your ever get the smell/residue out?)

Konstantine, thanks. Was that household Isopropyl alcohol?

Catlady, Isopropyl is what I was asking about. Typically, it completely evaporates very quickly, and any residues from it are low-toxicity. I thought it would be ok since it's a commonly used solvent for oils, and is regularly used in pharmaceuticals.

An ECF Vet named Old Chemist says this:

"Personally I don't like to use isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and that's not because of its specific smell. I am wondering about the possibility of peroxides forming in that liquid. Some of commercially available IPA contains certain chemicals called peroxide inhibitors. In fact, no-one knows what happens with such inhibitors after IPA evaporates."

I play it safe by rinsing very thoroughly with syringe-forced water and then dry them out before using.

Well, thanks for all the opinions everybody. I posted something about this in the new members forum, about my cartos getting fouled up. One of the vets suggested based on how aggressive I vaped, I wasn't topping off enough. Today, I started with a fresh filled carto, topped it off after every time I vaped. Turns out, by the end of the day, it started getting a slight off taste/not a burnt carto, but a bitterness. I also took longer pauses b/t vapes, and shorter vapes.

My conclusion is that its the juice I'm using. Whatever sweetner/flavorings that this particular vendor is using is burning onto the coils. Looks like I'm off to buy some different juices. Shame too, since I have about 50mls of liquid from this place.

well I would say 1 drop for every carto fill's worth... so if you do the condom fill just put one drop in there...
Dumb question but do u add the drop of vodka to the carto or to the bottle? I am having the same issues but can't really change juices. Thanks
