Anyone Using Tenergy RCR123A 900mAh batteries in their prodigy?

My batteries and chargers are beginning to reach the end of their useful life. While shopping for replacements, I notice that Tenergy now makes 3V batteries with 900 mAh rating. My understanding is that the 900 number just means a higher reserve capacity and that the voltage should be the same, but I was wondering if anyone was using the 900 mAh batteries and how they work with the Prodigy V3? I don't want to end up significantly shortening atty life.

These are an unusual battery type. They are a 3.7V Li ion battery with a diode to knock it down to 3V. They use a very different charger than other types. I would personally avoid them.
Then again, I only use AW batteries, so maybe I am overly cautious.

I've been using the Tenergy Li-ion's for over a year without a problem and I used them in a v3.1.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using these batteries as long as you keep them in pairs as you would with any batteries.

I would recommend either using the AW 3.2v LiFePO's or the Tenergy LiFePO's though as they are a safer technology and are considerably less expensive if you're buying more than 2 batteries.

I agree Dudeman. The LiFePO's are different than the Li Ion batteries above.
Never tried the Tenergy LiFePO's as I have heard they don't provide the necessary current for true 6V.
Have you noticed a difference between the Tenergy and AW's?

Some of the 900mAh batteries have a thicker plastic coating and will not fit into the Prodigy tube. Not all batteries have had this issue, but a good number have. Seems to be hit or miss.
