I can verify they do NOT stack -- and it's done rather sneakily so buyer beware...~Yira

Thanks! Other than for a huge order (which mine won't be), free shipping does seem to be the way to go.

Telling us about your frustrated greed;) prevents the rest of us from being impaled on our own (greed).

Please post your test results Sar... Look like good quality Primary Cells for travel/Back-up needs.

BTW...what kinda cycle times are ya getting from your 750's? Mine seem to be giving Me about 6 hr's on avg. before needing a charge.

Will report back -- I do have high hopes for them.

The rechargeable batts that came with Prodigy last about 6 hrs for me too, which is really stupidly good. The normal 510 batts would last me 30 minutes or less. It is really great not to worry about having charger always nearby. It will be interesting to see how these batts age, if the charge will hold less and less as they get older or if they will go for 6 hours until they die.

I just ordered this kit... figured why the hell not. It's pay day, I can get free shipping and never can have too many back ups right?

Brandon

P.S. WHEN DOES IT END!?!?!
I got 2 more of these kits also, but have a concern.

Anyone else having any problems with the tenergy batteries not charging. I charge mine by first inserting one battery, watching the light turn orange to make sure its charging. I then remove that battery slightly, just enough to let the light turn green, then insert the next battery to make sure the light turns orange again. This has worked, but failed for me on one of my batteries last night. I am not sure if there is something i am missing.

Sorry Yira. If you like stacking coupons Walgreen's is always a fun place to do that, still have to read all the fine print though. Gonna go stack a bunch later today.

Gibby, I pulled the bottom pins slightly out on the charger so the batteries snug in and haven't had a problem. I know several people have said doing that helps, so you might try that.

Aye, at least it wasn't a HUGE!!! amount..my only real gripe about it is, no way of knowing they wouldn't stack til after clicking the final pay button. That said, I'm probably going to order another set in a month or so, for my (adult) son when I get him a Prodigy for his birthday...never can have too many batteries!

I'm betting PureSmoker wouldn't do that though...LOL they'd probably be sending an email saying, did ya notice you ended up paying shipping..wanna switch those around..etc. LOL

Also perhaps the more expensive shipping is a good idea anyway, as I wanted these in before the Prodigy showed up so I can be vaping on it right away..and it looks like the CS at PureSmoker is going to have it to me WAAAY before the estimate given on the order form!

Just found a shipping notice in my e-mail last night, order #17667( a Prodigy 510, 801 adapter.

So can anyone tell me if the batteries need to be charged an extended amount of time their first time through? Battery memory and all that.

No they don't. The batteries come about 40% charged so you could charge one set and vape with the other set for a couple of hours. These type batteries do not have a memory. They will lose some effectiveness the more you charge them but that is the way all batteries are. I would have at least 5 sets (10 batteries) and an extra charger.

The 750s that came with Prodigy first gave me also around 6 hours, but after several re-charges I am getting around 3 to 4 hours on average. Have few pairs in rotation and so far they all last about the same.

I finally got the 1400 mAh non-rechargeable Tannery and used them today -- they gave me over 10 hours. I will be ordering few pairs of these for emergencies and travel. At around $1 each it is definitely worth it if they really have 10-year shelf life.

But there is a difference in how they work compared to the 750s:

As the rechargeable 750s get depleted, you'll start noticing that the vapor and throat hit are not as strong about 15 minutes before you have to recharge them. The 1400s start losing power maybe after 6 hours but it becomes noticeable only gradually during the last 4 hours of the battery life. After 7 hours of vaping, the battery is similar to what you would get with standard 510 manual battery. After 8 hours, it is more like a bad 510 battery. After 9 hours you don't get any or just a very little throat hit. At least that was my experience.

Thanks for the follow-up Sar.:thumb: I'll have to get my hands on some for travel and back-up.

NO, NO, NO. It should work that way and I believe would work that way with any other PV. But for some reason with the Prodigy, the 900 mAh batteries last for all of 2 minutes. Don't waste your money. For some reason, the batteries provided are the only ones that will work properly with the Prodigy. No one can ADEQUATELY explain the reason for this.

I would suggest just getting the same ones and I would also suggest getting a second charger because chargers do go bad. Check this deal out:

Rechargeable Batteries & Battery Chargers - 6 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger -Specials

I just think i figured out why people are having problems with these 900mAh tenergy batteries(I just ordered the whole kit). I couldn't for the life of me figure out a reason WHY a higher mAh(900) rated battery would not last as long or perform as well as a lower one(750) even witht he different chemistry. I have figured it out and it's listed right on the back of the 900mAh kit. I will type it word for word:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.It is normal that the new battery cannot be charged to its rated capacity when it is being used for the 1st time. To reach full capacity, new batteries have to be charged and discharged 3 to 5 cycles.

So, in essence, what they're telling you is your not going to get anywhere near the 900mAh capacity until 3-5 charge cycles have been completed.
