Anyone who has purchased a 510 from Good Prophets...

Just wondering if anyone if any one else has had any issues with their Joye 510? I ask because I seem to have a 7 second cut-off on my MANUAL batteries and it 'seems' like it is not letting the atty get hot enough to produce much vapor. The issue could also just be a few bad attys (which does happen from time to time), so I have talked to Rob, and we were wondering if anyone else has had any issue. I am just trying to figure out if it is an atty or a battery problem. A 7 second cut-off would not be a huge deal if the vapor was there...

I have an auto battery, with a new atty , a passthru and a PCC coming on Saturday from GP and I will be able to tell a little more then, when I can switch out some of these parts, try the new atty with the manual batteries and the passthru on the original attys... etc...

So any of you that have purchased a 510 from GP, let me know how it is working out for you, if you have the 7 second cut-off on the MANUAL batteries and your thoughts....

Yeah, I am not blaming Rob, I have spoke with him and we are trying to figure out what is wrong with my set up. Do you have the 510 and does it have a 7 second cut off on the manual battery?

True Joye 510 batteries do not have any cut off. Many people think they are buying true Joye's, but many out there are not true Joye's. SLB is making a knock off and it has a cut off.

Yes, and several people I know have 510s and not one has had a problem yet.This is the first I've heard of a cutoff with the 510 manuals.I will say that I had a manual go bad similar to what you are having.(I dropped that battery in water though)

Yeah, this seems to be a new issue, that is why I was wondering if you got your 510 recently. I did not drop it in water, the kit is only a week or so old...

Like I said, you probably don't have a true Joye 510 battery, as there is no cut off and the imposters have cut offs.

I know, but if the battery is cutting off too soon, then possibly the atty isnt getting hot enough. That is why I was asking...

I just purchased like 6 kits from Rob about a month ago for friends.I have not heard any of them complain about a cutoff.I'll ask around and see if any of them are having issues.

As an old customer of GP I have the old kits and the new ones, the old one are ok after over 600 charges per bateries (the manufacturer give you 200 charges), reading your post I have been trying the new ones and there is not cutoff time.

Checked with everyone I gave a kit and nobody has a cutoff issue.You may have just got a bad battery or something.

pete, whew, i was starting to think i was the only one. are you having the same issue where is barely produces any vapor? i can drag on mine until it blinks and the vape is very weak. let me know if it is the same for you...

Mine did that twice before it would just blink every time I pressed the button. If I unscrew the atty it will light up fine, but as soon as I put the atty in, it just blinks.

Hrmm... I am thinking it is possible I may have an atty issue as well. Hopefully tomorrow I can shed some more light on the subject... stay tuned

Kind of off topic, but has anyone noticed a difference in the attys between old 510 and the newer ones? The aluminum wick on the newer models competely covers the coil which helps on filler burn...they seem to me to produce more vapor as well.
