Being an internet junkie, I was surprised ecigs had been around for so long and I had never heard of them.

2nd surprise was they really worked and were better than cigarettes in just about every way.

3rd surprise I actually quit.

I basically live on the internet when I'm not working. Still can't believe I didn't know about this until Aug of this year.

Never thought I would quit smoking either.

The first surprise was that even with the no-nic cig-a-like that I had to start with I could cut down to 2 to 4 smokes a day!

The second surprise was that I preferred the other flavors over tobacco flavor.

The Biggest Surprise of all (still today) is when that Truckload of stuff I ordered
arrives in an envelope in my mailbox!

Lol

Relax, Enjoy!

Like other posters on this Thread, I was surprised at how easy vaping made it for me to quit smoking. I was going nuts trying everything I possibly could to quit smoking and nothing was working.

Also, I think the most surprising thing out of all of this is how much I love vaping and I mean LOVE to vape. When I started vaping, I went in with the full intentions on using this to quit smoking for good. But I'm in love with vaping so much that I do not see myself quitting anytime soon.

What surprised me was that it actually worked!

I was so addicted to cigarettes. I never imagined that I could actually quit! 37 years of 2 pad. I would buy cigarettes rather than food if it came down to it.

I had HOPED that I would, at least, be able to cut down a little and be able to vape at times and in places that I couldn't smoke. That was the most that I had even hoped for.

I was actually amazed at how smooth the transition was for me. I got my EgO starter kit, charged the battery and tried it out a little. I smoked the last half a pack of cigarettes I had and simply never bought any more. I smoked my last cigarette on July 11, 2012. I am a dealer in a casino and am around smoking all day. I have absolutely no desire for a cigarette.

My husband and co workers look at me like I'm flippin' nuts for being so engrossed in the vaping world..I wish I had someone in my life to share this experience with. :( It can be quite lonely at times, but oh well! Vape on I shall!;)
Vape Yourself Silly! ;-)

I'm right there with you. ECF keeps me sane. Other than a specific vape meet, I have never seen or met another vaper.

My next ecig surprise will be seeing a vaper out in public.

After reading a few posts on this thread I got thinking that this thread is beautiful support for ecigs.
Can an official really stand up and refute ecigs after hearing smokers share like this?
Happy for everyone, and to reply to the original post; what suprised me was that I hacked up all the nas-t's from smoking while still 'smoking' (by 'smoking' I mean vaping:))

I was just surfing youtube one day, saw a small web banner claiming to be a free e-cig offer. Signed up.....realizing next day it was a scam when it was already in the mail....got it a couple days later....figured i'd try it anyways. Canceled card I used on said scam, and got a new card LOL. After a few hours realizing that I actually did not crave a cig, which was a long time for me. Did further research and found ECF. Next day found a local brick and mortar, got a eGo kit, worked so much better. Three weeks later bought my first MOD, even better. Soooo many juices and finally found the ones I liked.

Two days after I started never touched another analog since. And all this by mere coincidence and accident. Broke a 28 year habit and have not and prob will not look back to it again. I now enjoy vaping more than I ever did smoking.

Saw my first parked next to me at the store last week he had eGo with mini vivi same as i. I held mine up and he nodded but never rolled his glass down. I was slightly disappointed. Or maybe i looked crazed or something having actually seen another vaper. lol

Having a long history of quitting with all the methods you can think off and more:) and even holding out for months , I wasn't surprised when I quit with eGoT. What did surprised me, though, was the fact that I am currently vaping chocolate flavor, and when the battery goes out, I take another one with cartomizer having mixed fruity liquid from an Italian vendor. And I find them both good.

And there is no pressure associated with quitting. I don't know exactly how to put it, but I could go downstairs and grab husbands Marlboro if I want to (he vapes too, but likes to light up a few with his coffee). But I don't want to. It's just that I don't feel that urge anymore. And even if I light up one for any reason ever, I know I'll return to electronic cigarettes not to tobacco ones. And one of these days I am going to reduce my nic from 18 to 12. And I'm sure it will work. It's actually liberating.
