My big surprise was exactly what so many of you already posted--how easy it was to give up analogs. I didn't even really mean to quit, just give e-cigarettes a try, and hopefully cut down on smoking. I've thought about quitting hundreds of times over the years, but the panic associated with the idea of "no more cigarettes" was terrifying. And now, wow! I seem to have "accidentally" quit smoking! I kind-of figured that I would eventually die from something smoking-related, but this is the closest to a magical solution that I can imagine!

Also, I'm a little surprised how much I love fruit flavors with a touch of menthol.

Hehe, my intention when I was deciding to have a go at vaping was the same as yours.
Best case I stop smoking all together, worst case I don't and I've spendt some money which would have been used on analogs anyway.

After about 1 week of vaping I sold my analogs stach and 'got my money back' for my initial vaping gear investment :)

Wild strawberries rock!

I was surprized by how bad an analog tasted compared to vaping. Just got my 510 in the mail on a Monday. Alternated vaping/smoking that evening. When I lit Tuesday morning's 1st analog, I thought I had lit the filter...or the filter had been dragged around the ashtray. Is now 3 months later, and I still remember that aweful taste.

I was a pack a day smoker for 26 yrs always inhaling into mouth breathing bulk of smoke down to lungs in one breath then exhaling out of the mouth, I found that with vaping this all changed. I only exhale through my nose, I think for tasting purposes. I wonder if others do this mostly with vaping as well?
