Apocalypse redemption titanium RDA gets hot quick

So I've got the redemption rda titanium version and running at a 0.12ohm on the sqnkr from half moon mods and well after about 3-6 puffs it's getting majorly hot to the point where I can't even vape on it coz of my lips being burnt on the top cap and none of my others get this hot including my brass carnage that's got the exact same build and coils in on the turbo tube mech, so don't know what else to do coz I really do like using it but when it's getting this hot I feel like just taking it off and using something else because it gets too hot too quick.. any suggestions?

Don’t chain vape or try vaping it at something higher than .12 ohms. Unless you can find an Ultem or Delrin cap for it, it’s going to get hot. Ti does heat up.....

That .12 ohm atomizer coil with a fully charged 18650 at 4.2v is pulling 35 amps/147 watts. Dangerous! It's stressing the cell above its limits. Change it to a .2 ohm coil and you drop it to 21 amps and 88 watts.

More airflow! Continue inhaling after you take your finger off the fire button to cool those coils down. Get a tall boy drip tip that covers the metal or keeps your mouth away from it. Is that the HMM CFJ V2 mech mod? Takes one 18650 or 20650. Calculate your amps and be sure your cell is rated for 40A discharge.

There are no 40A discharge 18650 or 20650 batteries. Maximum on the market is 30A CDR. Which is why a 0.12 ohm build isn't a great idea.

To the OP, other than the comment about too low a resistance, I would raise those coils a bit. Yeah, I know, not a great idea if it's already too hot a vape, but looking at the coil position through that air hole the air is barely hitting the top half of the coil. Overall performance would improve if you raised them and got more airflow directly onto and even under the coils.

Use a less rowdy build with a different drip tip and you'll be fine

its certainly a huge intake hole mate
got a goon I'm using tonight holes look under o.177 lol three in a row,, now wondering if this rda is the next step up for clouds,, it looks the biz
have given away all cloud rda's apart from two the lost art goon and the sxk due to how good they are but i think il have to upgrade after seeing this
