Some of my grandkids get carsick - I always give then some Dramamine on long trips now that they are not so young. I better start putting Vicks it in my purse ..thanks for the tip. They are getting better as they get older but I still carry plastic bags in the back seat if we are taking them home to Pittsburgh .

Good morning. Happy Veterans Day to all of you!!! My grandad, dad, hubby and son all served in the armed forces during war time and am so glad they were safe!! My dad could sure tell some goo war stories!!!!

They say that the reason kids get car sick is that they can't see well out of the window. It has something to do with equilibrium. Once they get older and can see where they are in relation to space and time (since they got bigger and can see where they're going ) it goes away. It makes a lot of sense because I still get car sick if I try to read a book while on trips. Put the book down and look around and it goes away.
