Yes, I don't plan on going out anytime soon.............and you?
I was until I went out to check the mail, lol. I think that's probably as far out as I want to venture today. I thought we were supposed to be past the storm period today, but apparently not! It's icky outside. I much prefer to stay inside and wrapped in a blankie, lol.

Ahhhhh...got it...lol...when I first moved to WA, I lived in Lakewood. I miss seeing mountains!!!
The view from 512 is spectacular. I miss that. When we lived in Parkland for a few months we walked to the Jr. High school and had to cross the PLU campus and THAT was the most amazing view I have ever seen of the mountain. The sunrises were truly breathtaking. I can see it from HWY 12, too, but not much of it. My parents are in Eatonville, though, and that is a pretty nice view on clear days, too.

My ex, his brother, sister, mother, cousin, aunt and grandmother are all PLU graduates....It's a beautiful campus!

I love it here most of the time....I love the rain and cool weather....except in the summer...but there is always the water nearby to go to.......
I love the milder temperatures here, too. I could not even imagine having over 100-degree days for weeks on end like @redrebel821 and @Kprthevapr have every summer. I would melt!!! I love the storms, too, but I sure wish we got more thunder and lightning. We hardly ever get it in Grays Harbor. Bums me out.

When we moved to Burien, I could see Mt. Rainier out our living room window, and the space needle from upstairs bedroom....10 minute drive to Puget Sound. I miss it...so much...sigh...
That would be an amazing view! I lived on Capitol Hill for a year or so and we could see all of downtown from one of our apartments. The other one was on 5th and Denny, right next to the KOMO 4 building, and the monorail ran right in front of our window, lol. It was interesting to say the least!

At least hers is a dry heat in the desert...lol....it gets pretty humid here, but we do get pretty storms. Ex was born/raised in WA, and had never really seen lightning storms till he went with the team to Kansas City...lol...was in the hotel on about the 10th floor and was all excited about sitting in the dark watching a really good storm!

Mt. Rainier! I think it's the prettiest of all of the Cascade Mountains. :)

I LOVE a good lighting storm!!! We used to get one or two a year in Tacoma and I would turn off all the lights (including porch lights) to get the best view possible. Of course being in an urban area there was always too much light but I dealt with it. :)

I miss it...so very much.
You definitely need to come visit. It's crazy how little has changed in some areas. When I took the kids up to my old stomping grounds last year I was amazed. Of course some parts of Seattle have changed and grown but a lot of it is still the same. The old Tower Records is gone, which makes me sad, but the Pink Elephant Car Wash is still there!!!
