Congrats jnnfrlsw!!! :toast:

Been popping in and out. Fixing a few computers at work and its killing me.. One PC I tried to set up in an office won't connect through LAN connection, but any other PC I throw in that spot connects fine. And the PC in question works fine at any other office's connection...weird..

We've had that problem before. The computer in question had a different NIC than the ones that worked. Turned out that NIC had trouble negotiating speed with the switch. It worked on other switches, and other computers worked on that switch. But they didn't work with each other. Try setting the NIC on the trouble computer to 100/full instead of auto and see if that helps.

 ya responsibility sucks. It's hard to remember what it felt like to just stack the bills on the dining table when you pick up the mail, knowing you're not the one who has to pay them...

absolutely,i remember a point in time when my only responsibility was, make sure i got to the park with my bat and cleats on time.lol

Thanks for the help, tried that though. Set to 100/Full Duplex, then to 100/Half, even tried the lower settings as well :( I haven't had this type of problem before so I'm pretty stumped

Man how time flies... I remember my only responsibilty being "Don't get in trouble"

Needless to say I wasn't responsible when I was younger  Lots of trouble...

I just bring 'em in and hand 'em to my wife!

Wait... I do the same with my paychecks.

I don't have to hand my wife paychecks... she already knows she gets every cent out of them even when I'm holding on to them

Hmm, still sounds like a conflict between the NIC and the switch. Have you tried a different NIC in the computer?
