Amid plumes of yummy vapor :)
I would love to try DIY but I'm scared. I just ordered juice with extra flavor and still can't really taste it. I have sinus issues and had surgery twice now, so I only have my sense of smell and taste once in a while. I got just a hint of the blueberry honey I'm vaping now earlier today, and now I'm just blowing smoke. :( I guess no matter how strong I made it, I would never taste it. (Except for the occasional quick return of my senses) I guess thats why I never realized how bad I smelled when I was smoking analogs.
I started my first DIY attemp,. 2 weeks ago as a matter of fact, with a 36mg nic base that way the math was easy for me. I mixed 240ml of liquid into smaller bottles, added flavor, sweetener, etc. I got the base premixed 60/40 pg/vg. It was a stress free experience. The key is to do your homework. I have and Android and an iPod/iPhone eliquid calculator that I used which gave me drops AND ml for the mix.

I think I'll stick with buying them for now until I learn more. :)

I can empathize on the sinus issues. Haven't had to have any surgery, but as a child I had lots of nosebleeds, so around 4 or 5 they did some cauterization ... I think that has effected me to this day. And a deviated septum. I'm thankful my sense of flavor still stays around tho. (Flavor is not the same as taste, just FYI ... we have more than "5 senses" :) ). I also have a deviated septum. Just went through a week of the worst congestion since before I quit smoking. All I can say is I am glad that vapor doesn't cut into the lungs like smoke did. My congestion always moves to the chest for a bit. But it all cleared up a lot faster than when I smoked.

I would say invest in some unflavored VG or PG, or at the mix you like. Use that when the flavor isn't recognizable. Will help save you a few bucks here and there on your juice.

The thing is, it comes and goes when it wants. Sometimes I will have my sense of taste and smell for days, then in an instant it's gone again. I could go back to the Dr, but at this point, he will put me on steroids and that will work for about 3 weeks, then gone again. I had polyps removed, my sinus cavities opened up and a deviated septum fixed.
I have to get my boyfriend to taste my PV to make sure I'm not burning it up. lol
