Does any else find it ironic that SE/njoy are desperately arguing that their products are tobacco products while others are trying to distance themselves?

And yes, the NRT road could be a very looong one.

Personally I find the name just plain silly. I much prefer Personal Vaporizer but anything that says Electronic in bold print seems to draw enough of a distinction. That's certainly how I describe them in response to all the questions I get about mine.

How many ml's of liquid in a nicotrol inhaler cartridge containing 10mg of nicotine?

They don't say. All it says is that the cartridge contains 10mg but only 4mg are delivered.

Nicotrol (Nicotine Inhalation System) Drug Information: Uses, Side Effects, Drug Interactions and Warnings at RxList

I listed the 10mg stat for comparison because we know that your cartridge contains 11mg/mL (if you choose that dose), but how much your lungs actually absorb is still being debated.

Out of the chip pan and into the fire ...

Surly TW will be changing their company name too pretty soon. Any ideas ;)

Or perhaps there's a deal going down with Phizer or such (silent partner/investor or something) ...

Think about it, makes sense for BP to buy up the juice - after all it's the big profit center. And we get to keep access to e-juices, but at gross prices

Then again, BP might not consider TW as a brand worth buying and go for the nic lab instead, if not already.

Not sure what patents might exist on the juice formula - perhaps not patentable? If it was but was overlooked - big mistake!

This may be off topic but i wanted to answer your question.

The Nicotrol inhaler cartridges contain 10mg of nicotine per cartridge, whereas your e-liquid contains 11-18mg of nicotine per milliliter. See the difference? You're getting more nicotine from vaping than you would from this inhaler. Add to that the fact that you're still smoking a few cigarettes a day; you get more nicotine from smoking than from vaping.

NRT products are notoriously underdosed when compared to what a heavy smoker actually consumes. This is why NRT's are ineffective for many people IMO.

Thanks for the response, I think I understand it a bit better. However, this just points back to the confusion this name change has on the public. I read the quit smoking site mentioned in the first or second post where they were talking about the "nicotine inhalator" and it sounded like they were talking about the ecig.

Many of the follow up posts were also about this site. You immediately went to the Nicotrol inhaler in your response so I had to reread the original site and I believe you're right. That's what they were talking about. And yes, there is confusion....... I think, anyway.

The name is too ridiculous for anyone to seriously think that it's a smart idea.

After all, the e-cig is known as a personal vaporiser because it is not an inhalator - it creates vapor. PV says it well, without sounding like a medical crutch.

So I'm wondering if there's more to it than meets the eye.

A lot of strange things going down lately ...

If it's a Nicotine Inhalator why does it look like a Cigarette ?
I bought my first E-Cig because it was a way to "smoke" without having to inhale the 10mg of Tar and the 10mg of Carbon Monoxide that i was inhaling with my 0.8mg of Nicotine per Cigarette.
It has got **** all to do with ASH. I am not Smoking.
It has got **** all to do with NRT. I am not trying to stop Smoking.

Nicotine is Legal. PG is Legal.
What we are doing is a Good thing not a Bad thing.
Stand up for what few Rights we have left.

I wish I could have said it as succinctly. e-cigarettes, (I refuse to call them anything else as that would be tantamount to some kind of ridiculous admittion of guilt for doing something that will save my life and save tax payer money) are safer and more ethical than cigarettes all day long.
If anyone tries to take away my right to save my own life by using an e-cigarette I will sue them to poverty. I'll use the law to nail their asses to the wall.
We should be taking a principled stand, not conceeding that we are committing a crime and bow to it. No crime is being committed by using something that looks like a cigarette.

Yes, no amount of stepping backwards will appease. The power-crazed will just get egged on.

The point I was making by linking to the "nicotine inhalator" site was that the terminology was so much like an e-cig that one would be hard pressed to differentiate between the two. Look at the site again...is it the inhalator or the inhalator....lol?

Correct. The most effective method is to meet force with superior force. Not to back down and re-evaluate. What is right is right, and no amount of lying bureaucrats can change that fact.
I'll vape in the face of anyone who tries to tell me i'm doing something that is bad.
