To the original poster- I have seen cartos rated for 100 *puffs and some rated for up to 400 puffs.

It would be sweet of those selling the cartos could state what their selling. I don't mind paying more for 250 puff plus..who would? Obviously, those selling the lower puff count wouldn't mention it. Perhaps, those selling the larger count puffs will?

*puff count -could be taken as serious as packs of cigs!( least it's something quantitative)

I was recently refilling my V4L carts and got the idea to take the rubber ring and hard plastic cap off of them for good. I used a pen to punch through the hole in the hard cap while I had the condom on and it created a perfect match to the hole that is on the hard caps. I then took it all out and just put the condom on and used it this way. All the benefits of the KR8 and some pros of dripping. I just carry a bottle of juice and put a few drops in from time to time and I am getting great vapor and flavor. Been doing this with the same cart for about 4 days now and still no burned taste. I am also not getting nearly the juice in my mouth as I would when I was refilling them and putting them all back together. No more burning my lip when the cart heats up, can keep the cart full so it doesn't burn, 1 cart lasting me 4 days and still going strong...the benefits just keep on coming. I am going through about 2ml of 36mg juice a day using it this way.

what is the difference in the cartos. I.E. physical attributes. The only diff I know is the old non slotted vs the slotted cartos. Have there been more changes made?

they have a different filling in them, there is no O ring and the hard plastic mouth piece is a hard rubber. They produce much more vapor than the black ones, I really like them and prefer them over the black ones

Wow, I've been out of the loop, I guess. Didn't know Drew carried improved carts. I got a lot of stuff for Xmas, so I am good to go for awhile, but I will definitely be ordering the new kind next time.

V4L is a great business. Good to their customers, and working very hard for the ecig cause. I do not care for many of their flavors, though.
    Cherry and cowboy are fine.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I think they are new, not really sure. I ordered some blanks and he sent me two types a package of the green new ones and a package of the old black ones. I just found the new green ones to work better for me.

Dont get me wrong I think V4L is a awesome company, but I dont care for their liquids but they do have a awesome E-cig with no doubt one of the best.

The green ones must be new. They sound totally different and better.
    I agree about V4L:)

Wow, what a cool idea and it works great. More vapor and taste. Thanks:)

I got 10 new prefilled cartoz from V4L and three I have tried have been dry tasting with hardly any vapor or taste. I had to add more juice. They are 36mgs. They must be old ones. Too bad I can't tell other then hardly any vapor or taste. This is the second time I have gotten prefilled from V4L and the first time they were good. They had 24mgs. I wanted stronger ones this time. I guess the joke's on me. :(

I have got the 36mg V4L Cowboy and Virginia and they seem dry also and produce very little vapor. YES, top these off with your favorite similar juice and they seem to jumpstart the cartos and they work perfectly. If you don't mind the taste of mixing a couple of different tobacco juice together or coffee juice or whatever you want to be creative. I felt i was given a raw deal as well, but by topping off new cartos i can get 2 days of puffing. Just don't overfill.

CoffeeCop - glad my post is helping someone. I am now on day 7 of the same cart and have been adding a couple of drops about as often as I would lite up an analog and it is doing great. I have noticed that sometime the V4L prefilled are great and sometimes they are not. Usually the prefilled one with higher nicotine levels are hit and miss, the same flavor with a lower nic level taste better IMO. Still haven't found the perfect flavor or one that I can stick with but I will be 30 days smoke free this Friday.

Kr in the model number stands for Kanger. The Kanger tech plant in China. Kangers can be purchased in the mall kiosks and at sites like smoke everywhere and ecigarettes national and gucci. Those are all Kangers. The Kanger 208 is the smart smokers choice no 7. It's a comfortable model for most men weight and draw are good. The attys get damaged very easily so don't let them heat up. Although I feel there is no way to burn up an atty the rubber grommet can deteriorate and spin the center contact severing the center contact. I recommend with all Kanger models the use of a silicone lubricant that can be bought at the auto parts store called contact lube. Mechanics use it on spark plugs. Kanger stamps the center contacts with the date which causes the center contact to stick thus spinning that contact and severing the wire. So with those take two or three puffs and set it aside for 15 minutes minimum. Then continue that way and it will last a good long time. :p

I have given up on prefilled cartomizers.
Blanks filled with juice taste better, even if its from the same supplier.
Prefilled carts and their corresponding juice do not taste the same.

    Kyi:
PLEASE go read up on your kr808. You need to learn proper filling technique.
Head over to the model specific sub forums before you burn out all your cartomizers.
Once they are burnt, you will not get that flavor out and you will have to toss it.

Just a helpful hint on the manuals, you hit the button and suck on it at the same time. NOT hit the button until its hot then let go and suck on it. Yes it will feel/sound like its blowing/sucking noise. In a sense it is kind of blowing. You are heating a liquid into vapor, this will cause airflow inside the cartomizer.

Yes the KR808's can be harsh. They vape hot.
If your getting too much Throat Hit from your KR808, try a lower nicotine level juice, or a VG based juice.
You can also buy some plain VG and mix it into your juice bottles, this will lower the nicotine level, and smooth out the harshness, and possibly increase vapor production. Downside is since VG has no flavor, your juice will have less flavor the more you add. Just like when you water down cool-aid or any other juice.

And remember long slow drags. You do not need to suck hard, just long slow drags.
