When I push the manual button on the battery, I hear a hissing noise and it seems like it's almost blowing air out of the mouthpiece. This is happening for both of my batteries since I had recharged it. Is this normal? I can't just drip directly into the hole on the cart? Do I just take it apart or use a syringe?

Where do you get your KR808D-1 cartoz from? I've found them very inconsistent in both vapor and taste from the place I currently get them from. I won't mention names other than a PS on the cart. Not bashing here but my money's worth more than taking a chance every time I order and wondering if what I'm going to receive is going to be "good" or not... Any suggestions out there? How are the cartz from V4L or Vapor Kings?
My expierence with 808 carts has been great, easy to refill use spin method do not over fill! BLUEGRASSVAPOR is my choice to buy from,,only 7.50 for 5 pack no s&h come fast good people.I find when a cart reaches a little different taste stop time to refill lightly blow old juice out from mouth piece end if needed, refill spin mod many refills.

The hissing is normal, like Taryn said.

But as far as I know, dripping into the hole on the cart is not the best way to refill. You can use a syringe - some people swear by it, there's at least one video (by Moobyghost) on Youtube about that technique.

Still, I'd actually recommend opening a cartomizer at the mouthpiece at least a couple of times just so you get an idea of the construction inside that you're dealing with.

To pry out the mouthpiece by the hole, I use a tiny hook bent from the end of a thick paperclip or safety pin with pliers. There's a silicone O-ring inside you can then pull out, too (it's meant to help seal the juice in there). Then try dripping into the wick itself, letting it absorb each time, until it's saturated but not pooling (give it time to absorb; if it does pool, just dab the excess off with a q-tip). Push the silicone O-ring back in, and then the mouthpiece. Should do the trick....

...but you'll find lots of tips and tricks at the V4L subforum as well as other places here (I'm sure a search for "refilling cartomizer" will turn up plenty!).

Everthing at Nhaler is expensive so I stick with V4L, good products and service.
They're comparable, like Katmar said. Shipping is fast and customer service is awesome from Drew. Nhaler, like V4L, sticks goodies along with the order too, but I find V4L liquids and cartos unvapeable personally, so at least I know I'll get good extras from Nhaler. A few things, like the XL battery, are a bit more expensive from Nhaler ($18 vs. $15 from V4L) but I'd pay a little extra for no logo on my batt.
Nhaler also has the "new" design KR8 cartos, V4L has the standard ones.
Both are good businesses.

OK, I might have to scratch that on "the generic blanks are all the same". I got a bunch of orange ones from Electronic Ash when they were having a midnight special on them, $1.19 each and free shipping, and they are not acting the same as the black blanks I've gotten from Mist-Stix, Good Prophets or Heaven Gifts. (Color probably doesn't matter at all, that's just how I tell them apart.)

On the orange EA ones, the wick actually seems to be narrower and shrunk away from the wall of the carto. This might not mean anything, of course. But I get a burnt taste from them more easily (at 5/6v) and drop-off in vapor happens faster so I need to top-up more often. One of them had a chemical undertaste in it (just one?! it's odd). If these have been sitting in stock for a long time, or exposed to heat or otherwise altered, maybe that does something. Don't have a clue.

What is the difference in design and the benefits of the "newer" version?

Both are good businesses.

I e-mailed Nhaler about the new carto's and asked how I can get only those as there is no option for them whem purchasing.

I find the new ones to produce more vapor and taste better, I also do not like the taste of v4l cartos.

Anyway they responded to me by specify which blank cartos I wanted in the special notes box. So I did just that when purchasing 2 packs of blank cartos. I was rather disappointed in Nhaler when my packagae arrived to find 1 pack of the new carto's and 1 pack of the old v4l type carto's.

I didnt think it was right, I even e-mailed them first to find out how to by just the new ones. Maybe it was just a mistake, idk but I am still curious how to buy just the new type of carto's from Nhaler.

If I recall Drew's answer to that question in the Nhaler forum, you have to ask specifically for the green ones. Sorry to hear they didn't give you what you wanted -- that sounds like either a mistake or they ran out of stock in the new ones (which they should've notified). Hope that can be cleared up.

At least you can find out whether you like the new ones! Do let us know what you think.

That is what I did specified for the green ones.
I had already tried them because they sent me some in a earlier order.
They must not have read the special notes on my order, its no big deal
I like Nhaler and will definetly try again to get only the green ones, afterall we are only human and we make mistakes. Drew has been great about helping me out with questions Ive had.

Also I wanted to point out that the green carto's work connected directly to the 901 tip for the Xhaler, the black cartos need to be connected to a 901 to carto adapter in order to work as you can not get a hit if connected to the 901 tip

Im very happy with the prefilled cartos at V4L,I love the chocolates and coffee flavors. They have great choices.I find buying blanks that I then have to purchase juice for and fill myself to be such a bother.Im into the grab and go thing.I do topoff 2x during the day but with manuals,I dont even have to take the carto off the batt.I guess I use the Kr8 so I can be lazy.

I started out using v4l carto's my first was coffee but for some reason I get this weird taste from them now and I just cant vape them. I do have a package of hilton cartos from v4l that taste great and have great vapor. I dont know what the problem is but I dont want to risk losing anymore money on something I dont like, so Ive been filling my own. Also the new green cartos from Nhaler dont seem to burn as easily as the black cartos. (v4l type)
