All I know is.. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new KR808D PCC and battery. I am so sold on the cartomizer route. Not to mention I love switching back and forth between the KR cartoz and the Greencig Cartoz for variety of vaping experience, and I don't know if the Greencig cartoz are ever going to die!! :D

Take care,
- Hap

Then why the different colors of cartomizers and markings for each supplier? Why do some come in boxes of 4 and boxes of 5 and some in blister packs? Just curious.
I wish they all came in colors to match the flavors..so much easier to tell one from another!

I actually looked into being a supplier - if I were to ever have the money someday and the ban doesn't take place :D - basically all the cartoz are just metal casings w/ no wrapper to start out with. They do have a 'default' color for each kind and mg. Many are the same black color, some more interesting flavors like menthol and coffee are green and brown respecively, etc.

However if you decide to be a vendor, it does not cost too much to be an 'OEM' purchaser and they will make that 'wrapper' on the cartoz any color you want, with any graphic or not that you want, with or without the mg info, etc.

Same way with the batteries... how many? what color? what size? want them to say anything? got any logos? How about PCC cases? customized? no? - you name it and they will 'customize' it cosmetically. however, the innards of all of their products will stay the same. It is up to you if you want to change anything before you ship it.

So cartoz, batts, cases - all have the same juice / atty / filler, battery internals, case internals, unless you alter it yourself.

Take care,
- Hap

Your mom said not to say...
Well I did find something interesting that kinda pertains to this in the fact that all suppliers are not equal in the KR808D-1 arena. A certain site that many people point others to for their KR808D-1 kits don't provide and carts with their starter kit! I was kind of shocked to see that they did not come with carts.

The only reason I know that is that I took a interest in helping a fellow member and they had gone to a site someone had recommended to get a KR808D-1 and had to send me a pm to ask where to put the flavor you wanted with it. I immediately went to the site to check it out for them and discovered this fact. I thought that was kind of lame to not provide at least a few carts with a "starter kit".

Oh and MaryKay thanks for the kind birthday wish that you send me yesterday. That was very nice of you.

I believe that suppliers can specify a certain degree of customization for the orders they place with the Kanger manufacturer. Thus the labeling, color-coding, and breadth of flavor choices in V4L's carts ... or the packaging differences you reference. [EDIT: HaploVoss zoomed in with his more detailed commentary about this, while I was composing my post. That is, I was not intentionally redundant.]

BTW, I have mixed feelings about the color-coding. It certainly does distinguish one flavor from another, but it mars the solid color (e.g., all black) look, which I happen to like, a lot. For example, my wife's first reaction when I placed my newly arrived pale green menthol cart on my newly arrived extra long black battery was ... ugh!:nah:

Speaking of superficial appearance, I like the single V4L logo on the cart (an elegant branding, like the stylized L on the Lexus), but I hate the scores of V4Ls plastered on the battery. Can you spell tasteless?

so i will say , that i have noticed some KR808d-1 cartomizers have a notch cut out of the center post where it meets the battery , and some do not... i don't know if this affects the way it vapes ( i certainly have not noticed ) but the ones with the notch cut out are easier to fill through the battery side... for me anyway.

You are Welcome Snarkyone..just glad it's NOT my B'day (again)!8-o

Thanks guys for clearing the color thing up for me. Yeah one color would look good (black or white) But maybe they could have a thin color band around the bottom?

It's like getting a drink of what you think is tea and it turns out to be pepsi! The shock value. I dump my carts in a covered candy dish. (I am such a girl!) I guess if I get an order from a different supplier that has all one color..I could use a colored pen or sticker on the rubber end caps.

[Bold hightlighting in the above text is mine.] An excellent (and tasteful) compromise solution! But who's really listening?:(

So let's set up our own KR808D-1 dealership, Mary Kay!;) We could call it Donny and Mary's Bonkers DaBoomVape ... a little bit country, a little bit soul.:D

YES.. they are all the same.

DonBaBoom.. now that is funny! cute and youll need a theme song!

Mary I got a pen from the craft store that allows you to write on the carts.. It's a paint pen..I have it in white.. and I know what is what and when I refill I usually will refill same flavors..but the pen helps and dont rub off easy!

I just want to say Thank you DonDABoomVape(didn't want to shorten :p ) I have read your posts and you have said everything I knew and thought but just more eloquently... even though I don't mind saying things in a manner that heats some people up...it is refreshing to see some balance in the forum...Kudos

I may have zoomed in, but as usual - my more detailed commentary ended up being rather rambling and stuffed with useless tidbits, finally arriving at the point of the matter. Whereas your post as usual was well thought out and explained the exact same thing in about ohhhh... 3 lines. LOL

So I can't imagine anything you've posted as being redundant!

Take care,

Thanks NeedVapor! I just may do that, I really like using my candy dish! I don't want piles of little boxes or blister packs everywhere.
Don, Can I be Rock and Roll instead? My music tastes run to the Late 50's, 60's and early 70's.!:D
I really need to pick up the 901 adapter that allows you to use carto's on a 901. I already use them on the VP1, but it runs a bit hot and uses the juice too fast, like a passthru.

Say what??

The only thing I don't like about the KR808d so far is the round mouthpiece. I was really attached (pun not intended) to using a 510 with a flat 901 mouthpiece. I'm missing it. What's this about?

Michelle M,
While I like the Whistle tips on my 901, Cartomizers only come in the round cart. I can live with round carts if the flavor is there! Plus the round holds more juice.
The adapter I am talking about from Vapor Country is just to make cartomizers fit on a 901 due to the extra hole for air draw in the adapter.

You can of course use a whistle tip with a Kr808 without an adapter.
I just like the convenience of a Cartomizer in the car or where I don't want to be bothered with topping up a cart.:p
