For Chinese manufactured products I shop customer service rather than brands. I have 3 SLB Twists and 1 regular-sized Vivi Nova from vapor beast. All work perfectly and one of the Twists survived, no worse for the wear, after landing on a hardwood floor when I tripped and slung the poor thing half way across the room. I ordered 3 Mini Novas for myself and one for my daughter from Vapor Kings. I also ordered 2 Joye Twists from them for my daughter because Vapor Beast was out of Twists when I needed to buy them for her birthday. Those are all working perfectly as well.

If pulling the posts up a bit doesn't solve your problem I would suspect something odd going on with the Vivi Novas.

I use two 650 mah Ego batterys per day. I have a backup in case I can't charge them. I rotate them each day and I am nearing 6 weeks with no problems. I purchased mine from Totally Wicked and have found their customer service to be great if there is a problem. I bought some automatic batteries and decided they were not up to the manual standards and they took care of the problem. I also have a Twist that works great, I just do not use it as much because it is rather large compared to my 650's. I agree with trying a different vendor.

To my understanding, eGo is the connection type, so I would look at the brand of eGo battery. Do you have Joyetech eGo batteries, or another brand? The Joyetech batteries are great, I think. The seem to be on the money. Does the twist come made by other brands? If you have a joyetech eGo twist and are having problems, then disregard my post. However, if you have a twist made by a different manufacturer you may want to try joyetech. Good luck.

i agree with other posts above me, check reputable vendors that sell genuine product, there are too many clones/fakes out there....the twists i have are still going strong and i still use them as backups even as a provari owner now...they are better batteries than the fixed voltage eGo units for sure, but don't be so quick to call the fixed voltage eGo units garbage altogether, there are lots running around working just great.

Ive been using the ego line exclusively since my inception to the -ecig family... I actually have 1 ego from 1 year ago that still works I have purchased 6 others from the 650-1100 .. only reason Ive went thru so many is either do to Loss or interested in other units (Like the twist voltage unit) My 1st unit actual still work all but for 4 hours but hey for a battery that's well over a year old is pretty darn good :)

I would not classify them as junk but cheaply mass produced with very small amount of attention to quality comes to mind. But wait Isn't Ego a Chinese product? And if Im not mistaken ViVi Novas are to I bet if you wright your Congressman they will investigate the quality of products coming from there. O wait His main campaign contributor was a American Chinese importer guess your screwed. Id show them and from now on buy American made products! Show them we don't need their stuff!!!!!

Show them we don't need their stuff!!!!!

When American young people are willing to sit in rows, let's say 200,000 inside each factory, assembling iPhones, Nikes, Dell computers, and ecig batteries for low wages, we won't need their stuff.

For some reason, that isn't happening.

I "think" it's not just because they don't want to do that work. I "think" it might have something to do with US companies wanting to make a profit----and pay their shareholders----- rather than make their products here for far less profit.

I can only add to the others that I'm sorry to hear about your experience so far, W2Q and hope you find equipment to your liking. In the absence of knowing who sold you the hardware but noting they refused to provide you a replacement, I concur they are knockoffs. Be wary too of vivi novas for the same reason. As to ohms and voltage, I think it's because not everyone wants to vape at 3.8 volts. Some ejuice does much better at a lower level. While the 1.8 ohms may make the flavor more intense, the higher you crank the voltage of the battery, the faster it will discharge and ultimately burn out.
