Are genesis atomizers outdated?

I originally purchased my KFL+ six months ago because everyone on ECF told me they were better than genesis atomizers. My kayfun is alright but after I purchased my first dripper (nimbus) I basically never use my kayfun because the draw is way to tight for me, it gives me a headache. I have been content with dripping for the last few months but constantly dripping and carrying around bottles is a hassle and I have been searching for better options. I just purchased an origen v2 because of the large drip well but I have been thinking more and more about genesis atomizers. Recently it seems like more drippers have been coming out and no one is really talking about gennys anymore. Are they obsolete? I tried my friends kraken and it blows my kayfun away in airflow, vapor production, and flavor. I am thinking about giving the kraken a chance and building it with rayon and dual micro coils around .35 ohm for auto dripping when I am out of the house. What do you guys think, will a genesis work as well as my dripper? And if so why are people saying they are outdated?

As far as rebuildable tanks go I only have 2 genesis style tanks one is a single coil and the other a dual coil. The reason why I bought them is because sometimes I'm too lazy to keep dripping or it's not convenient or safe while driving. When I build them I build them for what people call auto drip mode, it gives better vapor production than a kayfun, but the flavor isn't close to as good at least in auto drip mode but the draw is airier depending if you're able to drill out the airflow or have one with an adjustable airflow. The thing is that the tank has to be upright or it most likely will leak. If you want a tank with flavor and not have a tight draw with adjustable airflow and not have to worry about leaking than the fogger v4 may be a good option.

As far as outdated, I wouldn't worry about that if it works and you like it use it. There are a lot of things out still that can be considered outdated but is used everyday by many people, like cig like devices, egos, iclears, cartomizers, protanks and even drippers.

got a satburn 22 and I absolutely love it after drilling out top air hole atiny bit. Just did a rayon build and its working great! I love mesh and after you learn how to do it right the flavor and vapor is immense. The grand vapor Prometheus has huge air and in dual coil I get more vapor than most of my rda's, especially using .9ribbon on mesh. For people who know how to build with them right they will be a mainstay, the problem is people have easier options and after one bad exper with them they move on.

I uploaded a clip from Pbusardo's genesis epiphany video for those who like to bash gennies. The meat of what he's discovered about gennies, and Phil makes my point:

When PBusardo tells you a genny is the best vape of his life you might want to listen.

I think what everyone is saying here is that basically, nothing really gets outdated in the vaping world except for folks who have been vaping for a long time.

There are ALWAYS new vapers who want to discover what's out there and experiment. Gennies are a great tool to learn coil building, yes there are easier tanks to build like Kayfuns, but I personally think that if you can learn to build and wick a genny, you'll be able to build just about anything!

KAYFUNS????

Ptui!!!

I can re-wick and re-coil my genny in 3 minutes. That's good enough for me, and I've vaped on a Kayfun, it didn't come up to my RSST at all. Keep your Kayfunnies, thankyouverymuch! Those are for people who can't build a genny right or roll a mesh wick to save their lives, like that whining putz GrimmGreen.

Just today I got my first genny, a Steam Turbine clone. I love it! Wicked it simply with cotton and it gives great clouds and fantastic flavour. Only thing I can't figure out why it's not leaking even though it doesn't have a screw in the fill hole. I'll certainly be getting some more gennies (looking at a Prometheus now. Any other recommendations?)

The Kraken! I don't believe they are outdated and I love the Kraken-I am an atty hoarder and so my best to try everything I can get my hands on. The Kraken is by far my favorite genesis. It leaks if you leave it sideways and if you build to close to the center pin you will melt the insulation but when you get that thing humming it blows clouds and the flavor is awesome. It is the only 26650 tank I have as well because the air flow is huge and the build is easier. I autodrip cotton on a fairly low build and as long as I remember to tilt each way every once in a while I love it.
All of that being said I still drip 90% of the time but I always love my Kraken when I remember to pick it up

Oh God here we go again........another in the seemingly endless threads extolling the "death" of the genny.......fat chance......the most sought after, most expensive, most treasured attys are gennys....just try and get your hands on a satburn or a IN'AX or Lon....just because you haven't heard anyone talking about gennys doesn't reflect at all on gennys, it reflects on your knowledge of gennys and the vapers you associate with...it also reflects on maybe how long you've been vaping...people who've been vaping longer started out when gennys were the most common atty and they had no other choice than learn to master building ss mesh wicks, as back then you couldn't go into a vape shop and have someone do a build for you...Newer vapers have more options, and so alot of them either can't or don't want to invest in the time and patience it takes to learn how to set up a gennys, and no.......cotton in a genny doesn't do the atty justice.

My rsst with a mesh wick has made my desert ship taste even better to me than it did before. I have a kayfun3.1 also and have tried cotton, silica and the new cellucotton but its just not as good. In fact when I first got my rsst up and running and tasted my juice through it I was floored. I went the rebuildable route to save money buying coils all the time. I thought the better taste was all hype.
Nope.
