Why aren't genesis-style atomizers more popular?

The NextGen solves all the genesis leaking problems. It is a bit of a pig to build, but when you have it dialed in the flavor is very good.

I sold my Squape too. the first one was awful....the Squape R was pretty dang good and easily the easiest thing to build on the market. Flavor was ok, but I got nearly what I paid for it and I haven't really missed it. I hated the filling....everything else was very well thought out.

I mainly run bottom feeders though. The only tank on the market that impresses me to the point that I still use it regularly is the Origin V2.

I tried gennies, tried with mesh, never could get a good build. Tried with cotton, got great flavor, but the wicking couldn't keep up without constant tilting. I've been using drippers ever since, with a few tries on kayfun-style tanks, but always back to the drippers. Just recently got a bottom feed mod/atty, loving it.

Did you have the original Squape, or the Squape Reloaded?

I can think of several things I didn't like about the original Squape. Every single one of them was corrected with the Reloaded though. Airflow adjustment was greatly improved with the clicking ball bearing and ring, the swappable decks were a HUGE improvement that made it far more flexible in different build styles and preferences, the tank was changed from the polycarbonate plastic to glass, you could get the taller standard drip tip or a shorter wide bore drip tip, increased tank capacity, optional mini 3ml tank if you want to make it shorter, optional bell cap tank if you want an entirely clear tank, the Reloaded is like an entirely different RTA from the original Squape.

For me the swappable decks was a real game changer and I cannot believe no one else has copied it. It means the same RTA can be built using radically different coil and wick setups which is impossible on pretty much every other RTA/RDA on the market. For example, there are many RBAs that can use single or dual coils, but only the Squape R has the option of a single air hole and single set of juice channels for the single coil and two air holes and two sets of juice channels for the dual coil. That makes a HUGE difference, especially when it comes to feeding juice to a dual coil build on an RBA that isn't specifically built for dual coils. Or having the W (wide) deck for high to 100% VG juices. Don't try that in your standard Kayfun.

And wicking on all of them is just SO easy. Simply trim the wick flush with the edge of the deck and gently fluff them down into the juice channel (Except the B deck which you fill with wicking material like any RDA). Perfect wicking every single time.

And the D deck for dual coils...

It only takes about a minute to swap from one deck to another. Just remove the screws and pull the old deck straight out, snap the new deck back in, and put the screws back on it. There really isn't another RTA like it.
Its a great Atty, but for me I don't use microcoils or cotton so a lot of unneeded features I think. Im with busardo on this one, options are great but my k4 works awesome for me, I don't need to keep trying to find better if I already have what I need. Don't get me wrong innovation is great and to me anything that's not another subtank is a good thing.

Hands down, the best tank system I own is the Origin V2 Genesis. Amazing flavor, excellent airflow and multiple wicking options. It is set up to run either mesh or cotton. Usually, gennys set up with cotton are considered auto drippers. You turn them over to wet the wicks. I've never had to so much as tip the Origin. It wicks like a champ. Awesome atty and worth every penny. (many pennies)
Your right no wicking issues ever so weird :)

Now that is something I can absolutely support.

If you've found what makes you happy, no matter what it is, stick with it. Everyone is different, and there is no single best anything. If there was, no one would ever buy anything else.

My wife refuses to use anything other than her SVD 2.0 and iClear 30S tank, and refuses to vape anything other than a straight, pure menthol juice. That is ALL she uses. She's not even willing to try anything else, and I'm certainly not going to try to force her to. She's happy with it, and really, that's all that matters.

Shortly after starting this thread I found and bought a little orchid clone on clearance at a b&m for $10. I love it, and now realize that drippers are not the end all be all. To be completely honest I think this orchid tastes better than, dare I say, my magma, which is crazy, all i ever hear is how drippers are best for flavor...so i just ordered an infinite kayfun v4 clone with the 4s kit and all i vape now is my orchid

I think you just stumbled upon the RBA golden rule. "An RBA is only as good as its build."

Some people are really good at building for RTAs, some for RDAs, some for Gennies. If I have the best RDA money can buy, but I can't build it properly, it could taste worse than a blu carto.

I luv my gennies... RSST and a RSST dual coil... they dont leak unless I leave the fill hole plug open, they stay "dripper" wet, no need to empty the tank when doing coil/wick maintainence, and I dont have to buy premade coil assemblies... life is good vaping is awesome :)
