Ive been feeling a little strange the past 2 days, probably 5 days into vaping SI's watermelon flavor (DELICIOUS!) Im not sure what to attribute it to, at first i thought it was seasonal allergies, then a cold, then i figured my lungs were emptying out toxins, finally i decided it must be that my juice is all vg and gunking up my lungs.

My symptoms have been a sore throat, a constant, tight, wheezing cough. irritated dry sinuses, and occasional mild headaches. After checking the faq section on SI i found that all they mention in their juices is PG, and after some research my symptoms seem to match a PG allergy?

Does anyone know the PG /VG ratio of SIs juices? Im about to cut some 555 with VG to see if it helps at all....

I am wondering if you are a beginner at vaping, have you upped your water intake? Some of the symptoms you are talking about may be due to dehydration. I had a really rough time with it at first, and I too went to some all VG liquids. Unfortunately for me, I found I cannot tolerate all VG, it made me feel so heavy chested, like I just couldn't take a complete breath, and somehow greasy/oily feeling. (I never claimed to not be an oddball!)

It's hard to figure out when you are making all these changes, some symptoms may be from stopping smoking, some from starting to vape, some from PG, some from VG, etc. But, do try to up your water intake, it won't hurt if that is not the problem. ~YMMV~

I'm afraid you have also cut the flavor as well. Let us know. I am now into DIY because of my reaction to PG. I mix at 60/40.

The flavor and nic are significacantly reduced :\ my diy stuff is shipping tomorow... .... -___-

I posted this in answer to a DIY question. Might be of some use.

Also, it can take several months for your flavor buds to adjust. I'm on month 4 and still flop back and forth on flavor tasting. Good luck. :2c:

I have been trying to up my water intake, but probably not where it should be, however ive been drinking nothing but water today and my sinuses still ache, my throats a little better, but that probably also has something to do with barely vaping at all today.

Ive also heard silica wicks could be causing some of this iritation? i use ce3s... idk what kind of wicks they come with but is there any fact to back up these silica statements?

Don't know about the wicks. Also wanted to add that your headache could be from the nic strength being to high.
