The advantage of GG atomizers is that they are rebuildable. In order to make resistance you use resistance wire, no resistance wire and mesh. Anything made by Imeo is very high quality. I've tried a few of his tanks and they are very good.

Pyrex is used as the casing (for lack of a better term) for a number of tanks and rebuildable atomizers. Pyrex can be used on genesis type atties (mesh & resistance wire rebuildables), carto tanks or silica rebuildable tanks. Pyrex is fine but you need to be careful of what types of juice you use in them as they can be corroded by a few types of juice.

In short, everyone has their favorites but you won't go wrong buying a GG. IMHO the learning curve is a bit less than with genesis rebuildables and it will save you money in the long term as you won't have to buy cartos or attys to vape. If you can, try some different types of rebuildables to see what works best for you.

Hope that this helped!

 Ummm....care to be more specific and elaborate about this statement? Pyrex is immune to just about anything used in vaping and is the most desired material used in tank tubes. Are you sure you didn't mean polycarbonate plastic instead?

Well 'tanks' is really covering a lot of ground. If you are talking about rebuildable atomizers with a tank, Imeos stuff is top of the line.

I have a penelope, it's been fantastic. No other description I can give, it does what I want it to do and doesn't do the things that piss me off.

They also hold their value.

Thanks guys. Getting a GG tank is definitely something I want to do. I know Ithaka is the newest model. Is Ithaka the best 1 to get these days? Also I noticed on Clouds of Vape that you can only preorder all the pieces individually and not as 1 complete unit?
I just want to clarify to the OP that the Ithaka is a rebuildable atomizer tank, and not a cartomizer tank, two entirely different animals.

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't exactly aware of the difference but I just looked it up a bit. Sounds like *overall* a Cart is more dependable, but can never compete to the RBA flavour and vapour when set up well. So basically the Ithaka is similar to a Z Atty where the set up is more difficult?

Is the Penelope and Odysseus RBA as well? I know the Achilles is a cart if I'm right, cus it's pyrex.

The Ithaka is a up graded Ody It has 2 wick channels you get better wicking and if you like it makes setting up dual coils lots easier. This is the main up grade and most important IMO There are several other tweaks and twitches adjustable air flow auto juice feed redesigned top piece and mouth piece. It is a RBA but more. Ody are no longer produced. I never really like the Peny just my opinion. As stated the Ithaka is on page 2 If you want one the sale has a time limit. It is a little involved but after a few set ups its a breeze. It a very versatile atty it works equally well on mechanical or regulated mods.

No offense, but you did come across as a noob. That's ok, you're here to learn and are asking questions. I'll try to help. :)

It is the inner parts or the way the device utilizes a wick and coil that determines if a tank is a clearotank, a cartotank, or an RBA tank. A "tank" is a generic or catch-all term for any container of e-liquid.
___

A clearotank (clearomizer, Vivi Nova, I3, Protank, Evod, etc) has string wicks that draw liquid to the heating coil head.

A cartotank has a cartomizer (steel shaft filled with absorbant filler material which draws the liquid to the heating coil).

An RBA has a wick and coil which the user fashions himself, that sit exposed on top of the tank.

All three can be considered a "tank", the tubes which can be made from plastic, pyrex, or metal. I've written an article of the more common juice delivery devices here, which gives a description, pics, and a video on how to fill the devices: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3230-1-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

You've got a lot to learn, young whipper-snapper. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Except the GG RBA's have wicks and coils in the base of the tank, in a ceramic cup.
