I vape anywhere and everywhere where people are allowed to smoke. No one ever pays attention, or at least they act like they don't. I have vaped at outdoor smoking spots with just another person smoking, who might inquire what that "thing" is. They usually seem interested and remark that they didn't know such a thing exists. Of couse, I'm honking a Provari with a carto tank, so it will never be mistaken for a real cigarette.

I've vaped in a darkened cinema (either in the last row or against a wall), taken a "toot" or two in an empty grocery isle, openly at outdoor concerts or professional sporting events. Even asked security guards who gave me the thumbs up.

Just be respectful of others and everything will be all right.

Edit: I forgot to add that I stealth vape at work, where it is prohibited. I work in a hospital and wear scrubs, so on breaks I vape in the changing room by my locker. My locker is conveniently blocked off from view to the only entry to the room, so I can easily see who is entering before they can see what I am doing.

I vape everywhere..in public,in the office,in my car etc..but there are also places where i might have to respect other ppl like in the mall,in a banquet hall, near a baby etc cause a layman will still say that vaping is equivalent to smoking..IDK why although it sounds funny to me..maybe because their mind had been poisoned that any smoke that came out from ur mouth is considered as smoking..haha

I have been getting braver, you might say, lately. Or more of a case of forgetting that my PV is in my hand. And of course since it is in my hand, it goes up to my mouth. And since it's there, I vape. Haven't vaped in a restaurant yet, but at bars I have openly. Early in the night I start out with stealth type vaping, but after a drink or two, the singer on stage has their own fog machine in front of them. I have gotten questions from the regulars at our favorite watering hole. They are amazed at how well this is working for me.

I feel like I'm blazing the trail for those that hopefully come after me.

I vape in public without any problems. If anything, I find that a rare handful see something they think is smoke coming from my mouth and automatically start fake-coughing and waving their hand in front of their nose... until they actually smell it, and then they look confused and wonder why they were hacking and coughing about something that smells like gummy bears or whipped cream. :)

I have never been asked to take it outdoors or away from people, but I also tend to not vape heavily inside, if at all. I'm accustomed to going outside after years and years of having to do it to smoke, so doing it to vape doesn't bug me. Occasionally, if I'm in dire need of a few minutes of vaping time, I'll go slip into a bathroom (this is most common when it's raining or other inclement weather outside), but generally speaking, that doesn't happen.

I've found that I'll forget to vape for a couple hours, then I'll go through a binge of vaping, and then I'll forget again. It's a huge change from someone who couldn't go more than an hour or so without a cigarette. (Then again, I'm also training for a half-marathon in January and another in February, too, both of which are huge changes from back when I was smoking and huffed and puffed after going a quarter mile.)

I don't think you need to be in-your-face with vaping, but I do think there's no reason to hide it.

Under US law, that which is not specifically prohibited is legal.

People who live in pseudo-Napoleonic oligarchies like MD, CA, IL, NY, NJ, MA, or DC get to play by different rules, but that is the price we pay for living in separatist nation-states.

If a private property owner (store, restaurant, bar, etc) tells me they don't want me vaping in their establishment, I'll explain that it's not smoking and if they insist I stop, I will. I will also leave, and let them know, politely that I will be taking all my future business to their competitors who are vape-friendly.

Money talks. Vote with your wallets, folks...

I vape in public. I vape at my desk at work. My boss doesn't have a problem with it cause I convinced them it isn't smoking. I have gotten a couple people at work, including the boss's mom, to give up cigs and start vaping! But, I won't smoke around her boss when he comes around....don't want to give him the opportunity to say no!

I have been vaping for almost 2/1/2 years and I am still shy about vaping in public. I suppose that my biggest concern is that people won't know what it is or that they might think it is some sort of illegal drug smoking device or something...silly I know! I am hoping that as e-cigarettes become more and more common, I will begin to feel a little bit more comfortable smoking mine in public. :)

fortunately almost no one even looks twice where I live so i openly vape everywhere.
and even when trying to be obvious hoping someone asks, no one seems to really care around here lol

My EXACT situation.

Except, I don't think its always about just minding their own business. I think sometimes people are not real observant or even aware of what is around them.

I pretty much haven't had even one person ask me "whats that?" ONE smoker did, and then didn't even want to know anything about it once I said it was for vaping, you know, e-cig device.

As for shyness in public, heck, I just wear my ego on lanyard, and vape wherever. Nobody has ever said anything to me, in any of the stores, etc. I did try to vape at the racetrack and security cameras picked me up, and guard asked me politely to go outside.

I was on a training course for work yesterday, and went out with the smokers. I didn't really know anyone so stood by myself to vape. I saw people looking, but I occupied myself on my phone so I didn't get nervous. Nobody asked what it was but I'm sure I was the topic of a few conversations.

I personally wouldn't vape in some public places. But that's just me.

Yeah I pretty much vape everywhere I go!
The supermarket, Gamestop, music store etc. and the only place I've had someone giving me grief was in Target.
I think they saw me on a security cam and thought I was smoking drugs or something because a guy walked briskly over to me, but once he saw that I was vaping he seemed to relax because didn't say anything about it hehe.

I vape every where I go. I have vaped in restaurants, the mall, amusement parks etc. I have yet to have a problem doing so. The worst that I have had happen is someone ask me what it was and when I tell them, they think its cool and congratulate me for giving up the analogs. E-cigs are becoming popular. Vaping will catch on and we will start seeing more and more out with their pv's.

I have no issues vaping in public because it isn't harming anyone. It's VAPOR not analogs. It smells good too. Why hide it and why feel its "wrong" to vape in public? The only way to educate people is to just do it :)

I just worry if it really catches on that the prices will go up...I just hope the goverment doesn't think of a way to tax it like they did cigs.
