I have 1 2.0Ω that works great, and 2 1.8Ω that leak...

1. voltage 3.8v-4.2v AW IMR 18650 REO, Woodvil, REO Grand
2. 1.8Ω
3. Black (both)
4. 70pg/30vg ratio
5. BWB Waffles
6. Whenever I stop vaping the liquid immediatley start draining into the catchcup.
7. The juice leaks out into the catch cups. Sometimes to the point it overflows the cup...
(This is with primming with 10-12 drops only, no squonking required to have it leak)

Hi Isaac, Thanks for posting this thread... I was starting to think it was just me :) I went back and read and re-read switched's post on them a couple times to make sure I was priming them correctly and so forth.

1. voltage 3.7, using it with a 900 mah eGo battery
2. 1.8 ohm
3. Stainless
4. 50/50 PG/VG ratio
5. Lemonade flavored
6. Almost immediately
7. any amount... pretty much what loft stated above.

I have used it for 2 days, thinking perhaps break-in time would help. I bought 2... haven't tried the 2nd one yet, will fire it up and see if its the same.

I also bought 2, 3.5 ohm Black ones. I have not tried those yet either... they don't fit on my Infinity :-/ lol, so I'm waiting for some 510 to 510 shorty extensions to arrive so I can try those babies out :)

:( The 2nd 1.8 ohm one leaks too.

Also, got my 510-510 extensions the other day and fired up the 3.5 ohm Black cannon atty. Was working like a charm for a day and a half, thought I had found vaping nirvana for a while there :) but.... then it too started leaking :( using it on my Infinity with an extension, vaping Vermillion rivers Caramelized cappuccino approx. 60/40 PG/VG, running it at varied voltages... between 4.5 and 5.1 or so. Once it started leaking it didn't matter how much liquid I put in it... it just ran through.

On a happier note... my 2nd 3.5 ohm cannon is doing GREAT! :) day two and workin' like a champ!

I purchase 2 cannons as well. Used the first one and it drove me nuts... it is as if there is nothing in it to hold the juice. Like no wick or mesh. I thought with the size of these things, it would hold at least more than the avid 306s. Whether I drip or squonk on the reo Grand or Mini.. The juice simply ends at the bottom. I may get a couple of hits and that's it..I have heard a lot of great things about Iken, and this is why this was my first purchase. I have to say I am disappointed.

All those experiencing this problem, please report the following:
1.Voltage being applied - 3.7 - 4.2
2.Resistance of 510 Cannon 1.8
3.Color of the 510 Cannon Black
4. Ratio of liquid PG/VG percentages please 80/20
5. Flavor of liquid - Several I tried BWB, V4L, goodejuice, want2vape... same result
6. Speed of leaking from filling - within seconds fills the catch cup on the reos
7. How many drops before leaking - 3 to 4
8. If you guys and gals can think of anything that would be useful really. Not sure. If I know I would build my own :)

I almost wonder if the slightest pressure on these is forcing the positive post up too far, causing a gap which juice runs out?

I put my 1.8 on my Woodvil and primed it and took it off right away to check the connecter so I could see if it was fitting right. I put it back on and added two more drops and let it set for awhile. I took it off again to be sure of the fit and there was leakage in my connecter. It's been leaking for the past couple hours into my catch cup. It works good other than that. I think you might be right about the pressure thing.

Received 2x new atties yesterday. Chucked one on last night and had no problems what so ever. It was only today that I noticed my atty had leaked.

I usually keep my PV standing upright, and it was after not vaping for about 15 minutes that I noticed it had leaked.

It happened again immediately after I dripped whilst vaping.

Not sure of the internal make up of an atty, but I've noticed that it's only leaking in one specific area, which makes me think that somewhere on the atty there is a gap.

If it happens again, I'll take note of where it has leaked in relation to the IKV branding on the atty.

Still performs bloody well though! Lovin' the RY4 too :vapor:

FWIW, it's leaking less than the various 306, 901 and 510 attys from other retailers that I've used. Not sure if these are supposed to be leak-proof or not but stoked that it's not leaking as much and performing better than any other atty I've used.

Hey Isaac,

Was running the 3.5 ohm cannon stealth and 2.0 ohm cannon stainless on my two VV Ali's for several days until I finally gave up just yesterday. Tried a variety of juices and voltages, all with a common leakage issue. If I may, allow me to jump to a few quick observations...

1. Was initially experiencing some minor leakage on both units but figured it was learning curve/break-in issue.

2. Started to experience dry, hot vaping, so I increased feeding amounts and frequency. As one might expect, leaking got slightly worse but somewhat surprisingly vape was still dry-ish/hot.

3. Went from a "snug" atty seating to a slightly loosened atty seating, vaping enjoyment increased dramatically. I noticed that the vape was "airier", as one would expect, but increased vapor production negated the increased air flow. I equated the improved vape experience to the fact that the slightly loosened atty seating allowed me to more easily "pull" juice overflow from the catch cup reservoir into the atty and thereby adequately feed it.

4. The only downside to loosening the atty to increase airflow and juice intake was massive leaking - anywhere and everywhere. The vape was sooooo good, however, that I just pretended the problem would go away if only I loosened the atty the exact right amount and....I carried a dish rag with me constantly, of course :p

5. Due to the greater diameter of these atty's, there is less "space" in the Ali'i catch cup to hold juice overflow - a fact you ignore at your peril!

6. Even when I had visual evidence that my catch cup was empty and I was vaping dry, if I set the Ali'i's aside for a few hours or overnight, the leaking magically continued in my absence.

7. Initially tried dripping after getting those dry, hot vapes mentioned above. Vape was awesome, but I'm not sure about potential chronic leak issues when dripping cuz I didn't try it for very long. However, I can say somewhat anecdotally that even when dripping I did seem to have an increased likelihood/amount of dripped juice draining out into the catch cup even when using a very small number of drops.

8. Eventually even silly old Theo knows when it's time to give up on ignoring a problem and wait for smarter minds to tell him what he's doing wrong. As of yesterday, I've set these atty's aside, at least for the time being

I know you only asked about problems, but I thought I would throw in my info so you can compare. I'm getting NO leaking.

1. 3.7v
2. 2.5Ω
3. Stealth
4. 80/20 VG/PG
5. New Blueberry - Butter Rum - Egg Nog (all from Vapor Bomb) 3 different devices
6. None
7. I put in at least 8 drops to start and add 3 to 7 as needed.
8. In use on three different Phidiae. Have also used on a Silver Bullet.

I have used 801 attys with 510/801 adapters for close to 2 years. I've been buying direct from China and had some leakage with those attys, but none on the 2.5Ω Cannons.

here is the info on the leaking im seeing with my Reo grand.

1. 3.7-4.2 (unregulated mod)
2. 1.8 Ohms
3. black
4. 100% VG
5. Boba's Bounty
6. fills the catch cup on my reo in about 30 seconds to a minute
7. unsure, primed it with 10 drops then starting using the bottom feeder
8. I primed the atty with about 10 drops of liquid and let it sit for a few minutes to see it it looked like it was leaking and didnt notice anything, I then hit it a few times and then used the bottom feed to replenish juice and then it started leaking, I may have flooded the atomizer but I seemed to get much more leaking then I ever do when using a 306 so I don't think that is the only problem. When I get home from work I'll meter a battery and make sure I am at 3.7 and give it a shot. Can't wait till you get these fixed as the flavor is awesome but the overflowing catch cup can get annoying.

--edit-- tried again with a battery metering at 3.7v and it still leaked, it might be possible that the mesh was already disrupted from the first time I tried to use the atty though as its still leaking a rather large amount. If it would help I can send my atty back to be dissected.

I guess I'm lucky. Once I quit overdripping on the first one I got no more leaks. The other 3 didn't leak at all.

I actually thought thats what I was doing at first(overdripping) but it wasnt the case on the 1.8 I was using. I did get a 3.5 and that one does not leak at all

1.Voltage being applied
Screwdriver 3.7

2.Resistance of 510 Cannon
1.8

3.Color of the 510 Cannon
Black

4. Ratio of liquid PG/VG percentages please
This is iffy as I am new to DIY and kind of improvise here and there but it is at least 70/30

5. Flavor of liquid
cafe mocha @ 24mg and perique/dragon fruit @ 24 mg

6. Speed of leaking from filling
Well, after doing a lot of review (after almost a year didn't know I should prime an atty before vaping) reading and re-reading "The Canon line - review" (thanks Switched) I learned a lot. I primed the Canon and waited between drips until the wick absorbed the juice. NO LEAKS

7. How many drops before leaking
Vape vape vape vape, drip wait drip wait drip wait.....still no leaks. Went to bed after removing the atty and laying it on it's side (thanks to all of you who got up to leaking atty's). Got up in the a.m. put the atty on and vaped again. Have been doing this all day and (knocks on wood) still no leakage.

8. If you guys and gals can think of anything that would be useful really.

It has been sitting upright for most of the day and no leakage. I started with 7 drops and as needed add 3-4 drops at a time.

Well, I've never really waited for the wick to absorb the juice before adding more. I did with this atty.

I know you were looking for leaking atty's but it's nice to know when you've got a good one out there no?

Great flavor and vapor. I'm lovin these atty's.
