well, my MuTank was all set to be delivered yesterday.... But then this damn snowstorm hit. Supposedly my mail person tried to deliver at 330... I was out shoveling from 3 to 4. No mail truck even came down my road. Now I check the tracking info online and it says the package was undeliverable as addressed. Package is being returned if appropriate information is availible.

What the hell? I understand there is a tin of snow right now. I understand that the mail isnt runing right now. But they are going to send it BACK to the shipper?? Wouldnt it make more sense to wait until monday after the plows have a chance to clear anything off the roads and then deliver it to me? This is why people us FedEx and UPS...

After I've seen some videos showing how machine-oily some of the pre made Clapton coils are, I'm scared to try one on my build. Is there any good brand I can give it a go?

If you're concerned about it (I haven't had many issues with machine oil on my wire) after you make the coils shove it in an ultrasonic cleaner for 5-10 minutes. That should clean it up.

Is this from a vendor you have purchased from before? I only ask because I had some problems with USPS delivering my packages from one vendor based on the formatting of the address. Technically, I live on SW 129th Street - but using that had it get mis-delivered. Switched it to SW 129th (which is how we usually give our address) with the vendor, and voila, no more problems.

You could try calling USPS or the local PO and see if you can get them to figure out what's going on with it. But I'm sure they are swamped with issues given the weather in your area.. :(

verticals perform better than horizontals in this thing, or what?
It's all preference. Some prefer apples, some prefer oranges.

I had trouble with my second through fourth vertical build, but then got the hang of it and now prefer it.

Some other people haven't been able to get good performance out of one way or the other.

I use to think so until I started using rayon. I pretty much get the same performance out of horizontal coils using rayon as I did vertical coils using cotton. Keep in mind that I sanded down my tank so that 2 of the 4 air holes hit the coils directly.

yea, its a repeat vendor. Never had a problem with them before. Im thinking its because of the storm, and my local carrier just didnt feel safe on the roads... I have an RX200 being delivered on Monday... weather willing. Im hoping that I get two packages...

i haven't done any major alterations to my tank yet. i make a mark with a sharpie on the tank and the gnurling of the base where the two airholes hit each coil. so far, the tank is staying in place and i'm not having to constantly readjust. TBH, i'm finding tanks with tiny chambers and chimneys are tasting the best for me, ie goblin, gob mini.... romamizer still puts out great flavor tho.

I just got my vapemail, so I know what the anticipation/frustration can be like. Fingers crossed that both show up for you. ;)

Question from first-timer with Clapton wire on the Aromamizer

Being relatively new to rebuilding, I've stuck with simple builds on my Aromamizer, mainly 28 gauge Kanthal dual verticals. I've got vapemail coming today that I ordered some simple 26/32 Clapton wire with. I'm looking for any tips and insights on how to best calculate the wraps and ohms with this wire (I'm using with Steam Engine) and application in the 'Mizer.

Use the Wire Wizard tab on Steam Engine. Select clapton and plug in your information. :)

Wire wizard
First Clapton build done. :headbang: Used the 26/32 from the Wire Shots sampler by GeekVape. Dual verticals, 3 wrap on 2.5mm, reading 0.31Ω on the new Cuboid, set at 46W, air flow wide open. I guess I'm going to be stocking up on Clapton wire assortments on my next vapemail purchase round. :) Great vape! Popping a little, so I'll check my wicking next time it's open but I thought I had it set pretty well..

Had a slight problem with mine today. Hex key seemed to be a bit small for grub nuts and stripped 1 of them out. Went to Maplins and bought a dinky little screw driver set which includes loads of really small hex and star shaped bits. There's that 1 fits all my different grub nuts. Makes building way easier than messing with tiny little allen wrenches. I think it was about £8 well worth adding to your tool kit.

Yeah i had the same issue with the included allen key.

Althought to be fair i torqued the grub nut down probably much more than necessary
