I have a simple 28ga twisted build (nothing special really about the 28ga, I just had this spool of 28ga sitting there since I moved up to 26/24ga) .4ohms...and the vape is fantastic. No complaints at all. This rotates with my Goliath v2. Meanwhile, all the other 12 or so tanks lie all clean and shiny in their tray.

ugggggghhhhh. Steam Crave shipped it quickly enough, but the post office is on a mission to make sure I don't get it. It's now been in six different locations on Long Island. I'm in ....in Brooklyn! I could literally have walked to their warehouse and back dozens of times by now.

And to top it all off my Goblin Mini from Angelcigs was scheduled to arrive today but hasn't updated since leaving California, AND it's a holiday Monday. The vape gods just don't want me to be happy I guess. all the tears.

So what coil setup and wattage are you guys running in this?

Now that I've got time to kill until USPS (hopefully) finally gets to me on Tuesday, my wandering mind has started worrying about whether I'm gonna be able to vape what I want to vape.

I've got a roll of 26/32 UD clapton coming with my Gmini order, and already have a roll of twisted 28g. I wasn't thinking I'd have any problem, but in playing with Steam Calc testing builds I want to try, it keeps spitting out results saying I'll need 80-100 watts just to reach the standard ~200 heat flux figure with dual coils. I don't know that I really believe that, but if it's anywhere near true then I'm up the creek, since all I've got is the MVP3 pro with a 60 watt max (and will soon have the Cloupor mini of course once the contest stuff is shipped, but that's only 50w). I've also got standard 26 gauge coming, and at least that yields some reasonable results in Steam Calc, but it'd be a bummer to not be able to use my twisted or the clapton at all.

So what's your power profile looking like on these Aromamizer builds you're all posting?

26/32 Clapton , 4 wraps, 2.0 ID, .25 ohm, running at 35-40 watts is perfect for me. My Clapton is hand made, so my resistance per foot could be quite a bit different as my core wire twisted quite a bit in the process. That will give you a decent idea though.

Holy hell you're running Clapton at 2.5 ohms really?

*edit edit* Oh .25 ohm hahaha. Well that's very promising then, I don't plan on going any lower than .4.

I've never felt the need to vape my subtank mini at more than 30 watts at .4-.8 ohms, so I wasn't totally sure, but man steam calc is just really adamant that I'd need 80+ watts to reach the heat flux range I'm used to.

You caught me between the edit.....
I honestly have never built or vaped below .5 , it's a long process making Clapton and its my first try at it, and failure after failure left me with enough Clapton wire for the dual build I shared.

You'll be able to experiment if you bought UD's spool of Clapton. Take your time squeezing and preening your coils after mounting. They react to slight "squeeze" and position changes as far as heating evenly, or at least mine did.

Enjoy your Aromamizer, great tank!

Ps- twisted wire works pretty good as well. @roxynoodle should be along to show you more options.

I'm running all my builds between 0.32-0.37 ohms and 50-60W. No idea what the heat flux is on any of them, but they're plenty warm with 2 airholes open and cooler with all 4 airholes open.

Build one: quad verticals. 9 wraps each of 27g on 2.5mm diameter.

Build two: 26/32 dual Claptons on 2.5mm diameter, 5 wraps.

Build 3: quad horizontals, 9 wraps each of 27g on 2.5mm diameter. This is the warmest and has the slight edge on vapor production.

Heat flux probably isn't all that accurate. How can it be when it can't take into account chamber size or airflow?
