IMO and not trying to pee on you guys who think this tank is great.

I just hate this tank. Let me rephrase that. The tank is ok. I hate that I spent money on a tank with high expectations and found it merely to have an ok vape.

I like the build quality. I like building on the deck. I don’t mind the fill method. I love that it doesn’t leak a drop. I love the capacity.

I don’t like that I have to put 65w to it in order to get a satisfying vape. That makes it hard on batteries, even on dual battery mods. I hate that I feel that the airflow is not hitting the coils where it should, and I hate even more that there isn’t a damn thing I can do about that. I really hate how flavor is just not there on this tank, regardless of whether I build horizontal or vertical, 2mm or 3mm, flavor is just ok and not a mm more than that. I dislike the stupid rubber band airflow control.

I think you could revise a couple issues on this tank and have a tank that vapes good, an improvement over ok but still not great.

My biggest complaint about this tank is that it vapes more like an rda than an rta, and as rdas go I have better ones on the rack. This really reminds me of rdas I bought before I got a Troll, which was a watershed dripper for me. It really reminds me of the Vulcan. Ok airflow, vaped ok, but once I got a Troll I saw what a rda could do and I’d never be happy with that Vulcan again.

This tank suffers from needing too much power, not having quite enough airflow for what its trying to be…or too much in the wrong place with all 4 holes open, a chamber that obviously is not helping flavor, and the fact that the airflow is not hitting the coils dead center is the final insult. I think 6 months ago this could have been a product I would have been happier with, but not today. I was looking for something that vaped as good as my Cthulhu v1s, which have their own issues but vape fantastic. This isn’t it, for me. My Cthulhus seep juice out the air holes and you’re constantly wiping your mods off, and the top fill sucks, but their vape is ridiculously good.

I could forgive the Aromamizer some of its quirks, but the flavor, it’s just so…flat. Lifeless. Too bad, there is stuff to like here, but in the end I give this tank a fail. Crossing my fingers for the OBS Crius in the mail. If its only drawback is the odd build deck with its tiny holes I’ll be happy. I need flavor, and I’d put up with a leaky Cthulhu over this Aromamizer because one has it and the other doesn’t. Good luck to you guys and your Aromamizers. My $.02, not an invitation to fight.

I really think you just haven't got it right yet, no disrespect intended. If you unscrew the deck from the base just a tad, the airholes line up and then it is a really great vape. I just don't want to see you throw in the towel prematurely that is all :)

augggghhhhhh! Why on earth would I do that?? The manufacturer is supposed to get it right. I refuse to unscrew the base to overcome a deficiency that shouldn’t be there.

I tried it btw, it still didn’t make me love this tank.

and the way this tank performs could absolutely be someone else’s idea of perfection, just because I wasn’t happy with it doesn’t mean I think this thing is garbage. Just venting the frustration I had with this product and sharing an opinion.
It's all good man

When you re-aimed the two good airholes, did you also plug the two useless ones? I think that's the key. I have no experience with 4 airholes in this tank at all because it was obvious to me that those two extra holes would ruin the vape, so I plugged them permanently right out of the box using a tap and grub screws, and I've never needed more than 35-40W. Tastes better than my Evil Eye and Orchids, and just as leak-proof. I agree it's flawed... it should line up correctly out of the box, but having to back it out a few degrees is a minor inconvenience, far outweighed by its ability to rewick my gunky net juice with a full tank.

Well, my Cthulhu v1 never leaks, and I like it a lot, but I like the Aromamizer more because it satisfies my urge to design new builds. I think I have the best build in the Cthulhu, and there's nothing more I can do with it, but I have some more things to try in the Aromamizers.

I was disapointed with this tank as well, untill i unscrewed the tank section just a little to get airholes in line with coils. It makes a difference from meh or even bad vape to my favorite vape so far. It is a big design flaw, but i don't understand why you wouldn't try such an easy fix, to see why most of us here really like it?

I totally agree. I finally got some flavor out of this tank. But it still falls short. I have put numerous builds in this thing. 26,24,22,and 20 gauge. Clapton and twisted builds. Vertical and horizontal. This tank just doesn't suit my flavor needs.

Here is a build I used to bypass having to twist the base. Been using it for 3 days now and loving it.

Edited to include a side view photo. That picture was taken before I heated up the coils into shape of course

And how it looks installed. 26g 2.5mm id, 6-10 wraps, 0.62 ohms. (Don't recall the wrap count but looks like 10 from the pictures )

to get the coils to line up perfectly i simply had the deck installed tightly, then took a marker to place 4 tiny dots on the base right below the 4 air holes. This allowed me to see where to build the coils.

well I don't get it ..why do you need 65 watts ? if roxynoodle builds 4 coils I get it ! but I would choke on that .
but I went another direction ..want battery life. the very first build was a 28g 2.5 id coil 8 wraps . on the 3 post deck.
very nice vape for my taste! and that on 16 watts. tried dual coils and don't like them. last build is a twisted 30 g 3 mm coil cotton wick came out at 1 ohm on the v deck. very nice flavor but had to up my wattage to 23 watts !
what I want to try next is a single coil Clapton . everybody likes the derringer dripper and I think that is the worst I got ! burns my lips . the flavor on this is smoother and cooler then any of my drippers . and every tank I ever had leaket . they are all in a plastic shoebox all 45 or so . absolutely love this tank so the only thing a am with you is the vape band ...just used some metal tape cut to the width of the groove and opened just one hole for the single coil buils. so versatile !! but everybody likes something different sur hope you find your perfect atty . have fun.

Couldn't of said it better myself. For me it's all about the flavor and it just isn't there and yes, it surely does suck the life out of batteries at 53 watts. I'm still using it but not my favorite.

having to go higher wattage means that you have more air and/or juice available.
i see it as an improvement to have a tank that can take 70+ watts...
i remember when having a 20w device was living on the edge, then all the rage
builds were creeping down in gauge and ohms....
its progress...
this tank is a turning point, kinda like the kayfun two years ago.
soon you will not see tanks with juice channels like tanks of the last couple years.\
they are modifications of the kayfun design.
tanks of the future will be aromamizer clones until another breakthru
design shows up.

yeah, i love drippers, i can do amazing things with builds and
ohm limits.
but i use tanks for when dripping is not appropriate..
this tank is a VAST improvement over anything else out there.
