Sorry, I didn't mean anything by it I just saw a few people doing that and was wondering if there was some other reason I wasn't aware of or something you know? Those DNA200 mods you make look great man!
No offense taken. I live by the motto "to each their own vape"......

And thanks....

You can get a better look inside here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByJGOatX48BAU0RYcUNQM2l4MkU
Its a work in progress and not quite complete yet.

The battery is a Turnigy Nanotech 1300mAh, 25C, 3S and the Escribe Battery analyzer clocked it in at 14.83 Watt Hours.
Other Battery Results can be viewed here: https://goo.gl/b33IPB Select the Battery tab at the bottom. It is new so there arent a lot of entries yet.https://goo.gl/b33IPB

but I went another direction ..want battery life. the very first build was a 28g 2.5 id coil 8 wraps . on the 3 post deck.
very nice vape for my taste! and that on 16 watts. tried dual coils and don't like them. last build is a twisted 30 g 3 mm coil cotton wick came out at 1 ohm on the v deck. very nice flavor but had to up my wattage to 23 watts !

How are you building single coils on this tank? I'm curious. The ones I built weren't worth a darn, so I went back to duals.

I put 26-32 claptons with 6 wraps in this thing and she is purring at 60 watts. 6 wraps each, 2mm ID, kanthal. This tank was wigging out on my x cube whenever i loosened the build deck from the base even slightly so i am liking it better in watts mode. It was fine on my evic vt but ohms jumped all over on the x cube.

hi mark !
I have 3 of them going different sizes , different gages , horizontal and vertical . so trying different builds .
the last one I used twisted 30 gage on 3 mm form on the v deck and upped the wattage to 23 .
the important thing is the placement of the coil usuely raised up a bit to center the coil and then sideways by backing up about one eights.
so you want the air centered on the coil.
but don't forget ...what I like might be totally different than yours.

There is a method to get your airholes to align perfectely to your center of your coil build if you wish to attempt it. I've got 3 RTDA's two 3ml and a 6ml. On one of the 3's it came aligned perfectely and the other two lacked approximately 1/8 turn or less to align to I sanded off the base of the tank until they aligned up perfectely. The threads that secure the tank to the coil base are very fine so you do not have to take off very much metal at all. Just a matter of a few 1000th of an inch only. The method I used was to dis-assemble the tank top, then holding the tank base flat against emory cloth sand it down until the holes align perfect. Check alignment often to insure you do not remove too much. Didn't take long at all for the two I did. See the pictures that I recreated showing how I did this. Attempt this at your own risk as it could destroy your RDTA.

I'm also the user that tapped to two post airholes and inserted grub screws to block them and drilled out the to remaining coil holes out to 3.5mm for more air flow. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...a-by-steam-crave.687100/page-40#post-16618860
I definitely think this is worth a shot. Thank you for the tip.

Dammm! this thing is good!

i normally vape on a mech around 0.08-0.15 around the 95w-180w range depending on atty used.

my build etc:

Dual 24g A1Kanthal
5wraps
2.5mm id
0.2ohms
horizontal coils on the velocity deck
6ml tank
2 indirect holes blocked
using the driptip that came with it
60watts on the sigelei is plenty

i went with the high coils

i went with the coils slightly higher rather than face on with the airholes :)

the rubber seals have a little give in them so its real easy to get the coils lined up with the airholes, it doesnt get any easier than this.
i give it 10/10 for everything :)

Have you tried doing vertical coils like this?

Thats what my plan was for when it arrived But i was a bit pushed for time so whipped them in as is :) have you tried both ways?

i have lots of juice already made for my rda's at between 3-6mg i've had to vape half a tank off and add neat vg as the flavour is to strong and the nic made me feel sick as hell earlier lol not good! .... good for the pocket :D
