You have 4?! Thats crazy talk :)

I do. A friend hated his two so I adopted them. Well, we made a trade. And now with potential crummy regulations hanging over us, I'm happy to have them. Eventually I'll put 2 away for future use pending the outcome of the regulations.

Sorry for the bad pic. I have to rewick later today, and will take more then, but its going to be a few hours.

Ah yeah there we go, awesome. Those look like 2.5 ID right? I think I'll build on the 3-post deck too, mostly because it's shorter and the last time I tried dual verticals on the velocity deck the top of my wicks were getting like tar black immediately, I think because they were soaking up cooked juice from the top of the chimney.

Thanks!

Ah, bah. That makes me think it's just something inherent to the chamber, then—vertical wicks are always gonna get disgusting on top real quick.

I'm a chain vaper too so I couldn't even make it through a single day without the top of the wicks looking like black licorice, it was disgusting. Maybe I shouldn't build vertical after all...

I just love the vertical build though. Sits in there perfectly. Flavor is awesome.

I never even got to that point because the gunk was building up before the wick had even been broken in, and even with my muted sense of smell I was tasting it very quickly.

Ugh, damnit, I shouldn't build vertical then. I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do. I'm still not in love with the flavor I'm getting, and everyone says the aromamizer really shines with big builds, I've gotta find some way to make this thing blow my mind.

Which deck are you using? My unit came with the 2 post deck and the coils line up perfectly when snug and when I place the horizontal coils between the top and bottom holes. I usually only use the 2 hold band and line up with the coils. Maybe I just got lucky or maybe that is just the case with the 2 post Velocity style deck. Not sure.
It is the 2 post, it centered about on the 1st wrap of the coil, they almost got it right.

All over the place
So I tried my dual-horizontal coils to be lined up with the top of the v-deck and for some reason this does vape noticeably better, and yet the other way was good too. I dunno, one big secret of mine (for a while) has been that for most vape products people rave about have so rarely lived up to the hype for me, and I expected no differently this time. Imagine my surprise when it did live up to (most) of the hype. I am quite leased with this unit.

So im having a strange issue...

My first build lasted awhile and was great for me. Just simple 6 wrap spaced 26g kanthal dual coil. It was airy when i first used it, as was expected, so i closed two holes, left the other two half open and threw an old PT drip tip on there for a nice 30-40w mtl. When i felt like a lung hit id just swap for a wide bore.

I decided to rebuild the other day so i made dual 9 wrap contact coils. When i took a drag, it was a pretty tight draw. Essentially now i need all four holes open with a wide bore tip and the thing is still a tighter draw then my first build. I figured it was my wicking with too much cotton possibly stuffing up the innards but less doesnt seem to help. I tried raising the coils, loweing them, pushing them closer to the posts and farther away, all to no avail.

Any thoughts?
