Good grief. I ordered this RDTA on Sept. 12th, and it shipped on the 17th. Now it's in (I think) Los Angeles. It arrived there at the sort facility on Sept. 20th. My tracking shows nothing after that.

Soooooo, I googled First-Class Package International Service and read that it's not a very good or reliable USPS service and that packages can take 10 to 20 days.

So, here I sit......:tumble:

That really sucks, man. Mine shipped the day I ordered it and was here in 3 days, from Hong Kong to Kentucky..

Fluffing the tails is key, I was used to my other RTAs where I didn't have to, and my first wick job gave me constant dry hits. So make sure you fluff the tails!
Also make sure you just tuck cotton into the well... Don't try to push it down or pat it or compress it... The more freely it is the best wicking, as it gets wet it will settle down itself by gravity

Well I have to jump on the band wagon here. Got my RDTA after a long wait :( and the flavor from this rdta is just amazing, good dense clouds. I just did a basic dual 24ga 6 wrap coming in at almost .3 on the velocity deck. Short wicks just touching the bottom and it serves up non stop flavor packed clouds. After a couple days on it you will forget all about the ugly vape band. The hype is real on this baby IMO!

Here's a little tip.

I didn't order another 2 hole vape band with my tank, and got a pink one. I decided to punch 2 extra holes in my 4 hole band so I always had the option. I'd done something similar on a larger scale when I needed to make some really big rubber washers, which is where I got the idea.

Find a piece of tubing that has an ID the same size as you want the OD of your hole. Sand/file down the edges (the smoother the better) to create a nice sharp edge.

Put your vape band around a piece of soft wood, on top of another piece of *clean* wood (my work bench is covered in metal shavings, oil etc, don't want that embedded in your band). Position your punch carefully, and with a good sharp blow, hit the sucker with a hammer. It doesn't take much, but you might as well make it count.

Viola! Extra holes in your vape band. And they're much cleaner than using an exacto. Now you've got a 6 hole band, with options for using only 2, or all 4 airholes. This one was a tit off center, but no one will ever know, and it works a charm.

Having a little problem wicking. I'm running dual claptons at 0.3 ohm's. Is this to hot of a build with this tank? Getting burnt hits. Maybe I'm using too much cotton?

I've been going through this lately as well. I've tried multiple build and wicking. So far there only thing that has helped is less wicking and no chain vaping.

I've found it's really important to keep the cotton that's sitting on the deck nice and fluffy. I fluff it before I set it on the deck. My builds run anywhere from 0.3 to 0.7, usually nearer the latter.
That could be part of my problem as well, I wet them and glue then to the deck with a pick.
