@decraig1 Truly hilarious. While away (from here) I typed Aromamizer into YT coming to RT's video that I had already watched...and ignored. But noticed his deck was filled with cotton.

Had been vaping Daft Spunk, a not very pleasing custard, wanting to go back to a very well steeped Charlie Noble Custard.

Re-wicked the 3ml taking two hints from pages 1 through 8: coils raise and pushed to the l/r. A leak-fest coz the coils were too high. Lowered 'em an dropped a tiny amount of KGD in the well.

Result: a stunning, flavorful MTL Vape.

Can't wait to go verticals in the 6ml now definitely due to arrive tomorrow. Gonna load 6ml of premium joose. Whoo-hoo!!

ETA: Also used my own DT, so, that's three hints.

I just wanted to give an update to my aromamizer problem. I had also been in touch with Steamcrave about the issue last week. They had me do some troubleshooting, and after that didn't work they told me they would send me a replacement two post deck. I was thinking yea sure whatever ill believe it if/when it gets here. Well guess what showed up in the mail today? Yep, and 10 minutes later im puffing away on it and its working perfectly. So tl/dr deck was problem, props to Steamcrave for sending me a new one.

You don't need to get the juice into the holes in that channel, just putting it in the channel itself is fine. That channel is made to be flooded as soon as you turn it upside down anyway, it's what feeds underneath the deck.

Though I have noticed my high vgs getting "stuck" on the juice holes now that it's cooler in the apartment. Less of an issue if I've been chain vaping and the tank itself is warm, but otherwise I find that gently blowing across the top of the open half of the tank (i.e. just above the stuck juice) messes with the air pressure enough to get it dripping down into the tank again.

Stinky, would you mind sharing your clapton build with us? I'd like to try it when I get it in.
2mm id, 28ga & 32ga claptons, 0.5 ohms

For those using horizontal coils, how much wick are you using? In particular, how much do your wicks contacts with the holes on the bottom? I am still getting dry hits, trying to figure out why. If anyone has a video link to wicking this in horizontal, that would also be helpful.

Been playing with wicking for a week or two. And have tried vertical and horizontal builds. Vertical vs horizontal has been very close performance wise for me. I have horizontals now and will probably keep using them since they are easier to wick.

For wicking, the best performance I have gotten is just touching the deck and thinned out, combed with my smallest screwdriver. I wrapped Ni200 on a 2.5mm mandrel but it sprang out to I would guess 2.75 and the cotton is snug as it can be without distorting the coils.

I still cut a bit of airflow (using two hole band) to get enough vacuum of juice from the tank but man the taste is great. I need a lot of flavor and have a light draw. I am getting more and more impatient to see a tank with juice injection.

My latest technique is to fluff the tails so as they have less density. Place them on the deck and prime the wicks.

Once your wick is primed and settled, use a needle-like stick and lift up the wick slightly from the juice hole via the center of the deck as per pic. Just uncover quarter or half of the juice hole as too much may cause flooding or leaking.

Uncovering from the center helps prevent leaking as the juice are pooled in the center deck and will be absorbed by the wicks on the side should the tank be sideways (provided the juice hole are partially covered).
