We rescued a dog early this year... well she rescued herself LOL she showed up on my moms porch and refused to leave. Abused and starved. She got away from whoever had her, but not before some serious damage was done. Her bladder has damage from being kicked so hard :( so she can't really hold it for anything. We thought at first it was just a submissive thing, but it's not. She's very timid until she gets to know someone and then she is all over them and just wants to play and cuddle. After several months of having a friend come down every other weekend to visit her, I took her up there to her hopefully forever home on my way to the vape meet lol. Mom couldn't keep her, though she wanted to, but with the toddler in the house and her chihuahua being an @$$ (she tolerates no other animals) she couldn't.
If I ever found out who did that to such a sweet little creature I'd probably have to stomp them at least until they required surgery as well.

Mom's black lab rescued himself as well. I was home visiting for Easter a few years back when he followed my nephew and his girlfriend home from a walk they took around the neighborhood. He was probably 4-6 months old; Mom's neighborhood is somewhere betwen suburban and rural and we're pretty sure he was abandoned. Once at Mom's he never left. Within a week, it went from leaving food out for him to having him sleep in the house! He's highly protective of her, much more so than Labs tend to be. We're fond of say that Beau (short for Beauregard) was Mom's Easter gift from God.

Ok so I got my laser marking solution in yesterday and was testing it out. Having trouble getting it on glass so far but metal was EASY. I can now etch metal mods :D

That etching is actually only 1/4" and I did it that small to test how fine a line I can do...

Nice work. They are going to be sweet!

That's awesome! I love that he was family within a week lol.
Lots of our pets find us that way, my current dog included, she found me at work. All homeless and lost animals in the neighborhood seem to show up on my porch, same for my moms neighborhood. Though some of the neighbors cats think they own my front yard too, always laying out in the sun there, glaring at you when you walk past them LOL. And it's not like there is any shelter or anything to eat out there LOL. One cat at the grocery store was running from everyone in the parking lot then ran up to me and started rubbing up against my ankles.. Not sure why, but it's started to feel like they seek us out LOL

Ok. I have to say this to you peace. That's quite the collection. I'm a bull in a china shop so for me to take these to work is asking for a lot of round trips back to Bert for repairs. But I admire a lot of the beauty. The PROBLEM I have with your photos is this. Jojo has gone through 2 towels and a shirt drooling over them. And I can't take another 1am 504 spin.

Peace, I bow down to you. That is some serious eye candy!!! WOW!

Cyclin - that is wicked cool. I would love to see a mod that was etched with a damask pattern or maybe vines.
Well expect some pics of a Provari with etching around the cap on Monday! I get outta here in 20 minutes so I will have to wait to give it a try.

Nice work. They are going to be sweet!
Thanks :D

No I did Sugar Glider Rescue on a very large scale I had 68 at one time trying to take care of them. From sun up to sun down that is all I did. I did the rail roads too. I would never do that again people are money hungry and kept trying to get them to breed and make more babies. I had 125 neutered in hopes of curbing it but the mill breeders just kept cranking them out. I let it take me down emotionally and financially had to walk away. I sure did meet some real pieces of work called humans. I have always picked up any animal beside the road or in trouble and take them to the vet and get them fixed up or put down in some cases. From baby bunnies, turkeys, peacocks, baby deers what ever. If I see a animal in need I will always help but I don't go looking for them any more. All my pets have been rescues but my Ling Ling I bought her.

oh yeah -- there are some pieces of work out there... sometimes I have to bite my tongue - literally. I'm still looking but we are on hold with intakes. The seven I rescued at school are now five, but if they don't get adopted they are mine. So, they HAVE to get adopted -- at least four of them. I'm guessin' the feral "Farah" is here to stay...poor girl, just so scared of us.

Mom's house used to be that way, but Beau chases them off now, lol. Of course there was this pig...:D

Actually it belongs to someone in the neighborhood who can't seem to keep her in her yard.. Beau is scared to death of her, lol.
