Yum! I just pulled out a pork loin I've cooked in the slow cooker all day. I cooked it with Mexican spices and it's delish! Now I have to decide: do I follow the original plan and add it as is with some cheese and make quesadillas, or do I add BBQ sauce and serve it on a bun? Decisions, decisions.

I would choose both. Half it and that way you can have quesadillas today and bbq tomorrow. Or just have both now, lol. I have a hard time with decisions so I usually if possible choose both.

LOL. That's exactly what I did. I took some of it, put it under the broiler a few minutes to crisp it up, giving it the feel of carnitas, then I put it on a flour tortilla, added some Mexican 3 blend cheese and some vinegared cabbage, and pan-fried them in a bit of butter in my cast iron skillet. Delish!
Tomorrow, I'll take the rest, add some BBQ sauce, back under the broiler and serve on a bun with some Southern cole slaw.

Here is my tip from the latest sale. I've used it pretty much nonstop since I got it, it may be a new fave!!!

And my Mystery Tip:

I will be honest, I'm not the hugest Futurama fan, and while I definitely appreciate and am aware of the craftsmanship that went into making this, I'm not sure how much use it will get. If there is a Tripster out there interested in making a trade, feel free to PM me and maybe we can work something out. :D

Evening all hope all is well in Trippyville!

Its ok Cyc I appreciate the offer lol but I really was only busting chops lol. I am always happy to see the tips go to good homes. Also if you are forced to buy jewelry then I would def suggest that you jazz it up big time depending on what you get her. To jazz it up def make sure there are flowers, candy with it and a sexy coupon of sorts :p and give it all to here in nothing but an apron while cooking dinner lol

Reid I say BBQ all the way im such a bbq fan lol

Willow that is fantastic! Gratz to your son may he be on the big screen someday soon.

Kat im like you atm with my mystery tip lol never seen the show lol

And for all you smarties there's only one place there is meat! :p

TTYL hugs all

Dunno know about Kirbys. I've got my grandmother's Electrolux she got back in the 60's. Still works just fine. You know what they say......

As much as that little electrolux saying is amusing, this is my favorite vacuum-related chuckle (even though Dirt Devils suck . . . in the bad way)

Evening, Tripsters! Just a quick fly by for quick catch up on the forum. Been babysitting my niece this evening so haven't had any time to myself. It's worth it, though, 'cos she's such a cutie :)

If it has an air filter on the exhaust, make sure you change that, too. Stick vacs might not have those, though. Other options would be to take out the bag and clean that cavity with a mild solution of vinegar and water (though you have to put up with the vinegar smell for a short while after) or sticking a dryer sheet inside the bag (they work for a lot of other bad smells, so probably good here, too)

That's me. That's me. Ring of fire sounds right up my alley.
Bert I sent your parcel today. Ralf was tempted to take the box to work with him. I had to Dragon Fire it out of his hands.

Yay! I've never gotten any mail from down under! This is quite a treat!

Since we are speaking of vacuums - is there a way to get the smell of dog out of one? It's just a Hoover upright. I changed the bag and it still smells like dog, so I sprayed it with perfume and that helped a little, but there has got to be a better solution!

Try vacuuming up a box of baking soda. If you spread it around on your carpet first it also gets rid of any dog smell in the carpet!

Both make excellent suggestions! and if there is still a scent problem, try using ground coffee. Suck it up in the vaccuum and let it sit for a day or two. It surprisingly effective at getting rid of stubborn/strong smells.
