Thanks for sharing this article. It made me think about cigarettes of the "future", always thought The Fifth Element got it right til I started paying attention to ecigs. I guess we are living in the future :)

One thing though, on a more serious note... it is disingenuous to say the only product innovations for analogs have been the filter and fliptop box. The use of additives (to "improve burning" and likely increase the possibility of addiction) midcentury to me is the most "innovative" step mfrs have made. Njoy's spokesman missed the mark there, but if they're looking for a buyout it seems smarter on their end to stay quiet about that.

I posted this, which is misleading, bet, hey, no coffee yet today.

I've finally quit using e-cigs (a mix of nJoy and not-nJoy) but I'd like to comment that most "vapers" (e-smokers) use flavors like banana, cinnamon, watermelon, and these flavors allowed them to leave their tobacco taste behind. The average age of these users seems to be about 50, so I think it is fallacious to think that the taste for flavors is unique to young people. In fact, young people seem to be less interested in ecigs than older people, unless their spouse is after them to quit. It's those of us whose cough is getting very noticeable after 20-40 years of smoking.
