FWIW--Phil and Dimitri are blaming juul for the current crisis--at least partially. Especially for salt nic and nic strength. They like the U.K. and European cap on nic strength (20 mg/ml)--they believe that the 20 mg/ml cap keeps teens from getting hooked on juul. Long video, but I agree with them.

Go to 1:39:45 or so.

Haven't seen the vid, but I don't agree at all, Katya. I own a Juul, and a Vladdin. I normally use 14mg with an RTA, but use 20mg. with the Vladdin, because it simply produces smaller volume per hit. Juul produces such a tiny amount of vapor, it's hard to believe 20mg would let anyone switch directly from cigarettes. Even at 50mg, it doesn't satisfy me as well as 20mg Vladdin, or 14mg rta.

I wouldn't really support that any more than I'd support limiting bourbon to 40 proof to prevent teen death/alcoholism. That's just not the answer. Impossible to do, but if you could have a sliding scale of nic limit based on the device production, well....maybe, I guess.

It's complicated and I really do understand all the arguments from both sides...

I wish they would just leave us alone and treat vaping products the same way they treat alcohol, tobacco and legal marijuana. I've seen our dispensaries here--brownies, candy flavors, you name it--nobody's even suggesting banning those... And fruit-flavored vodka...

I'm tired, Brewdawg, and dispirited.
