i vape... but certainly agree with anyones right to politely say "please don't vape/smoke around me". im probably going to get a of crap for saying this. when i vape i produce massive amounts of vapor and although ppl say there is no second hand smoke or nicotine in the vapor, i have vaped around ppl where it has made their eyes water or their nose itchy. not to mention not being able to see past my cloud lol. so i am prudent as to where i vape. i have read an article about propylene glycol being an airborne germicide or rather studies done at a university in boston about the application of pg as a germicide and have also read countless of allergic reactions from vapers who first began with pg.
point being, i would advise anyone to be courteous as to where and when they vape. no one deserves clouds of whatever it is around them, when you are sitting in coach, your seat is the only space you have and it's not much but it's urs. personally, i'd love to vape literally everywhere specially in my seat on an airplane but i would save it for first class or the bathroom lol

a ban may be a little over board... but im sure there will always be that one person to push the line further, i have a tendency to do this as well in one form or another.

+1 sosolidgold. While I also think Bans-... is a psycho prohibitionist who will stop at nothing to remove people's freedoms, and is likely a candidate for a strong psych drug, I am afraid he does make a point in terms of vaping heavily on airplanes. No one should have to be subjected to someone else's vapor, no matter how safe it is. It is generally distracting and concerning to someone who doesn't know about it, and they will spend the whole flight that they paid top dollar for, went through either a scanner or grope-down, and it will make the flight not very enjoyable to them. Perhaps one day when everyone knows the safety of the vapor, this will be different.

That said, our "friend" is having to stoop to outright lying about the dangers. If the vapor is so deadly, why have there been no deaths, or even serious health issues? What exactly is the definition of "deadly". It seems common courtesy would be the better approach.

To me the good news here is that if he is going after in-flight vaping so aggressively, it is likely he has given up on a general e-cig ban. As far as deadly is concerned, perhaps he should make it a requirement for everyone to have a blood test before flying, so that I do not have to sit next to someone with a contagious disease...like whatever he clearly has, and has not treated yet. Wouldn't want to catch THAT bug!

This scum page is on The Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association
(TVECA) website... tveca.com is their domain name

URL address: tveca.com/ashdocs.html

I don't understand why TVECA would allow (let alone upload) such a page
on their website.

The text on this page is not text...but an image of text and this page
doesn't have any back-links.

Anyone know how and why TVECA would agree and upload this page?

It appears that the page has been taken out of context, as linked in the original post.

The page that refers to it points it out as an example of the kind of hysteria ASH put out to try getting donations using fear tactics.

The referring page can be viewed here.

Now that I see the referring link... It all makes sense

As a webmaster... I always place back links on all pages
for the benefit of those surfing and entering the website
other than the home page.
