I searched this forum with "ash letter" but didn't find it. Sorry if it has already been posted.

I just stumbled over this blog post, which has a link to an ash letter. I have no words.

Apparently vaping leads to the formation and deposition of extremely potent cancer-causing chemicals on seats and carpeting.

"e-cigarettes emit a deadly mixture of nicotine (an addictive drug which contributes to heart attack), propylene glycol (a respiratory irritant which can cause respiratory tract infections), and a wide variety of carcinogens and other toxins."

What the what?!

There is no date on the letter. I'd guess it was sent out about a year ago. The good news is that lyin' John Banzhaff is no longer the executive director of the U.S. branch of ASH.

April 2010, if memory serves me. :) Then again, I'm getting old, so my memory doesn't always serve me so well.

I think Banzhaf sent that letter at least six months ago, and perhaps nine months ago.

Laurent Huber replaced Banzhaf as executive director at ASH at the beginning of this year.
ASH Announces New Executive Director

To clarify the comment by Vocalek, Banzhaf founded ASH (in DC) more than 40 years ago (I think in 1968), and it is not affilated with ASH UK, which was founded more recently.
