Hey guys, I figured I'd post here before venturing into the swap thread (since I am new to ECF as of whatever my signature says is my quit date) to see if you guys could guide me in the etiquette and procedure for being a functional and contributing PIF member!

I, like many newbies before me, bought a skajillion juices in my initial venture into vaping. Among this wide array of liquids were very few winners. I see the classifieds, which were initially enticing, but a very nice lady (Sissylala, my hero!) reminded me that there are awesome people like you around who are just interested in vaping as a community. I am not even remotely interested in selling this stuff, but I know there are folks out there who would be willing to advise me and share some gear (cartos I haven't tried much of and clearos/tanks I barely even know anything about!) in exchange for my unwanted juices.

That being said, I have no idea what the value is of any of this stuff, and I don't remotely know what to ask for! I am so painfully new and I don't want to offend anyone, so maybe someone can give me some tips on what I have, what I should trade for, and what the etiquette for trade is.

As a quick note, I have 5x6ml, 1x10ml, 1x30ml liquids, all with varying leftovers. How should I go about taking pictures, is there a set manner in which I show my unwanteds? Like, I think I should lay one on its side, so you can see _exactly_ what's inside!

Thanks so much, guys!

Great questions. First thing is to read the rules in each thread before you post.

If you want to PIF here, you take the last offer, then place your offer.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-you-must-read-rules-before-posting-here.html

(there is a seperate thread for 60% or more VG nicquids)

If you want to offer a swap, list what you have, and what you want here.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-do-not-post-unless-you-have-read-rules.html

No money is to exchange. You pay for postage of what you send.

Thanks hangdude!! Good reads, I will definitely check them out! Do you have any suggestions as to what I should try next in my PV adventures?

EDIT: Wow, the PIF thread seems very, very cool! I think I might partake in that effort when the offer isn't quite so high on the nicotine level!

Photos are nice, but not required....and laying the bottles on the sides is not ideal, just leave them up and list what size the bottle is (5ml, 10ml, etc.) and we'll be able to see how much is left. We do ask that you fully disclose all the information you have on the liquids. Date purchased, mg, ml, vg/pg ratio and vendor. :) There's a thread to just give away stuff, another for trading, a few for "take an offer, leave an offer"...of those, one is all ecig related things, one is DIY ecig things and one is VG liquids 60% or higher VG ratio. Lots of ways to try new things. Welcome!

hi,

If i take an offer on the regular PIF thread. and then post mine and it taken. how long do i have to wait to take and then post another.

Hi. :)

This is what the rules for that thread state:

14. Please don’t keep accepting one offer right after another. Give other people a chance to accept something. Don't accept offers back to back. There are lots of us here, over 700 now please keep others needs and wishes in mind too.

So, the literal translation of that would be:
Take an offer and post one, someone takes your offer and posts one = let another member get that one, then it's back to you if you want the one after that.

And that "700" number needs to be updated

Software programmers were updating some code to try to get the forum to load faster - they released it "live" and it was closing threads over a certain size into parts- don't know why they showed up as "guest" - on my phone it even said the user was "banned"! Anyway- the forum went crazy - it's fixed for now while they finetune that software code.
