Sure it's obvious, but I can't find it anywhere, but what's DNC mean? Tried searching, but all I found were more uses of DNC with no definition!

Does not count, what? I see it all the time before posts that "does not count" isn't really obvious what doesn't count for what...

I believe in this case it means that the post does not count in whatever thread it's in. For example, if I put a post in Treasure Chest, DNC means I am making a comment but it doesn't count as asking for the treasure.
Also, no comments allowed in Treasure Chest!

I've always looked at it as meaning 'Does Not Change', meaning, this post does not change the current offer
Exactly. And I've never seen it anywhere but here. Took me a while to figure it out too.
I don't even know why it's used in the PIF thread to be honest. Unless you see an offer after it, it's not a "I'll take it"...and there shouldn't be any random comments in that thread to begin with so I say we ban the "DNC" and all random comments in that thread and just put this all behind us.

Came about when we really had only one thread. There was a lot more socializing on the thread, because we didn't have all the other threads to comment, ask questions, post links, etc. Now that we are a whole sub-forum/social group (and the biggest on ECF, I believe) we have plenty of places to post and leave these 'off topic' comments and conversations.
Basically, it made it easier to browse through the thread, for those looking for the current offering, and not get bogged down in the other comments.
(if I"m not mistaken, Julie and/or Clumsy came up with it... someone correct me if I"m wrong)

Can a Accessories Supplier "PIF" trading juice and such and not product?

Adrena, there don't seem to currently be any exceptions to the suppliers in PIF rule. I can do some asking and see what an actual ECF mod thinks about this question. Currently, no supplier is allowed to participate in the listed threads. I'll get back to you when I know if we can or can't make exceptions for accessories suppliers.
Andrena, the final say on this is that rules apply to all suppliers, no exceptions.
