Do you have one of those silicone things that people use to open stubborn jars? That would help, I bet.

Unrelated: With this post, I become an Ultra Member. One thousand posts since November 2 of last year. I am a terrible chatterbox.
See it pays to be a chatterbox...LOL congrats.

Received the last stabwood mod I’ll be getting for awhile (I hope lol!)

The color is waaay out of my comfort zone but something about it called to me. It’s a bright cheery color.

So glad I was able to pick up another Thor before I can’t find anymore.

So pretty! Pink isn’t my bag, either, but I should’ve made an exception for that one.

I wouldn't be shopping for pink either, but that one definitely has some real character to it. Congrats.

Been playing with TC in the colossal today - saw in vaping with Vic's review that the chip works realy well.

I'm mtl so never vape at high wattages, but I'm enjoying it so far. Normally in wattage mode I'm 14.5w. in Temp mode it's at 20w and 215°C using ss316l in a 0.52ohm coil

Colossal owner question. How the bleep do you get the battery out of those things?

    Colossal owner and modifier here...

Both of the Colossal mods I own had this issue, until I did a little modification on the raised plastic, surrounding the positive post of the mod. And yes... the first time I pulled the battery out, my battery wrap was toast; ripped it, but good!

However, after I filed down the raised plastic surrounding the positive post of the mod, the battery slips out of the mod like butter. :)

I used a the rough file on my multi-tool... but I’m sure a rough nail file/emory board would work as well; perhaps not as fast, but it would eventually file that plastic down.

Good luck with modding your Colossal. ;)

Thanks. I might give that a try. If I do I'll report back.

The plastic sleeve is billed as a safety feature, to stop the battery from moving around. But a safety feature that makes it hard to remove the battery and can rip your battery wrap is a bit of a double edged sword. Looking at it I think the battery must be flush up against the battery door so I don't see how it could slip out of position.

I checked some reviews, only a couple mentioned a problem with removing batteries. One said 3 of 5 batteries he used in it got damaged wraps. Another one said he tore the wrap on the first battery he took out of it. On the plus side they both put the tight battery compartment as the only negative in their review.

to stop the battery from moving around.

With the crazy amount of downward force/pressure that compression spring in the negative post is exerting on the battery, coupled with the tightly fitted clam shell battery door... I feel the battery is very firmly and safely in place once installed.

I’m actually kinda miffed that Asmodus quality control didn’t catch this issue before booting it to market. Oh well... for $32, even with having to modify the product... the Colossal is still a good, kick around, workday mod. ;)
