Well yeah I was similar though the 70's and 85 engines we had back then are not the same as my 2015 engine now.

So true. I like driving old beater cars because I can generally take care of them, but when the g/f's new car broke down, I took one look at her engine, and was like "Yeah, better call AAA". ;) So many wires. . .

So, a question before I fall asleep?
Do you all get told (notice the quotes)
"Wow. I thought you were <mean, rude, snotty, elitest, uptight>, but after talking to you I think I just misjudged you. "
That happened #AGAIN# today.
I'm different, sure.
I'm weird, sure.
I'm goofy, OK.
I'm not a jerk!
I'm sick of being misjudged. .....
Lol.
Then they often say we should hang out sometime.
(Mmmmmmmmm..... no.)
Sorry.
Don't mean to rant.
I'm tired.
See you soon!
I am going through this hard core. After I let her in she is starting to see how I truly am. I'm happy with it because I ....ed up but if I hadn't done that I'd feel the same. I hate people so ....ing much it isn't funny. I am going to hang out with a buddy who is almost the same as me.

Even though it goes against my aspie grain, I have sort of learned how to not care what people think of me. Once I stopped caring what people thought of me then I no longer was angry or jealous with people any longer. I performed this little feat by joking around lots with people. At first, joking was sort of like a mask for me to hide behind. I used it to break the ice when meeting lots of new people. I discovered that some folks actually like it when others joke. Of course there are lots of people who don't care much for joking but I can usually tell if a person is that way by being around them for a mere 2 seconds or so. I learned through the course of time that for people who do not like joking then it's just the way their personalities are and that I should not be upset with them for not liking my joking. So, if I come across people who like my dry sense of humor then that is great but if they don't like it then I certainly don't hold it against them.

At first my continual joking was a protective mask used to protect my sensitive inner feelings but over time when I learned how to not care about what others think of myself then the joking remained as it became a habit and I did it so long that it sort of became part of my personality. So, now days I joke lots but it is NOT used any longer as a mask to hide behind. I simply joke around lots now because I like to make others laugh and I like for others to make me laugh.

So despite the fact that I am a aspie head and add person I am fairly comfortable in life now days when it comes to worrying about what others think. I also don't harbor ill feeling towards others. After all, it's not their fault I have what I do.

Well my kids started school. My Aspie son started college! [sigh of relief, so far, so good], and my daughter goes to school at home, so I'm her "learning coach." This week, I had to review high school geometry, and (briefly) the Revolutionary War.

Then, I'm talking a couple of online classes on data analysis.
Super! I'm an SQL writer/developer, SSIS integration and SSRS reporting. Welcome!

    Feelings? Oh fear, got that.
Mr. Cromwell. I am going to keep bugging you and reminding you to make an appointment with a croaker. You will eventually get so sick of me mentioning it that you may actually do it. :)
