Hey Brother, glad you started this Asperger vaping thread for "our kind" and for anyone else who wants to join on in. :)

Not especially -- but my bottles of Xanax do :w00t: --- I suppose it helps, as it's like smoking was for me (sort of)
That's the first thing I do upon waking --- take the biggest toke I can (actually about 10 of them)

It's a crutch :)

This aspie wishes I wouldn't block everything and everyone out when I am concentrating on something :( Another thing that bugs me is that I change interests/subjects too often. I may be into a programming language for a year or so and rather than design something with it I will switch to another programming language and start learning it. I haven't counted but I think I have learned around 15 to 20 programming languages. The problem with all of that is I am so busy switching languages and learning that I never get much actual software written lol ... Oh I have created a few little desktop applications but certainly nothing for bragging rights. But I am this way with every interest/subject and not just programming.

Okay, who's next to spill their guts??
Hmm never been diagnosed or even talked with a doc about Asperger... But from your description I have it. Learn something and move on. Same as you with the programming languages and many other things.

Well I may drop by this thread sometime since you guys know how to have fun in the threads along with sharing vaping experiences :thumb:

By all means brother please do.... I don't imagine this thread will be a hot bed of activity since what we have is not like having the common cold and so there are few of us here. I only know of 3 of us out of 230,000 members but more may pop out of the wood work. You are a comical, and nice person yourself, so just join on in any time you want to. If you like us, then you are a tad bit on the weird side as well :w00t:

I knew there was something different about you from most folks on here ... There is supposedly some type of an online test that a person can take that is supposedly fairly accurate. I don't know the url plus I am too lazy at the moment to search for it. Maybe some one else will post the url on here but if not then I will find it and get it here.

Take the online test and if it suggests a high probability, then get to either a psychiatrist or a autism specialist.

I was "accidentally" diagnosed a couple of years ago. I go to a psychiatrist every 3 months or so in order to get my anxiety prescriptions renewed for anxiety problems I have dealt with off and on for most of my life. The shrink decided to do all of these bizarre tests on me and that is when I was informed I was "one of them" lol .... I thought the shrink was cracked and was the one who had Asperger's lol... So, I more or less stayed in denial about it until recently, especially after meeting a couple of them on here... Meeting them is like looking in the mirror or something.

I like you lots and you make me laugh really hard when I read some of your posts. So please join us whether you have it or not.

Although this isn't a firsthand account I have a friend and a cousin with aspergers who both vape and it seems as if its helped a lot with social anxiety type issues. My once reclusive cousin works at a B&M and he loves talking to the people and selling product.
I've had bouts of social anxiety, and the hate campaign against smokers was not helpful, to say the least. I vape now and don't smoke. It's sad to see the hate campaign expand to cover vaping.

Well, I have two kids who love vaping -- not for themselves, but because I don't smoke anymore.

Anxiety is a way of life for me.

Yeah mine started when I was 9 or 10 years old .... bad panic attacks. I do not know if all aspie people have anxiety but from what I have heard it is rather common for them.

It doesn't really bother me too much anymore to tell folks of my secret flaws or problems like it once did. If someone would have told me 5 years ago that I would be on a public forum sharing things that have always been very private to myself, I would have thought they were cracked. Once, there was a stigma against people who had anxiety problems. Not so much now days as lots of folks deal with anxiety. So, it doesn't bother me too much now days (especially online) to spill my guts.

    Me too.
    Does vaping help?
    It usually does for me.
    The nicotine? The deep breathing?
    I'm not sure.
    But. I love it.

I'm a drug addict and so Xanax helps me :w00t:
Just kidding so don't call the treatment center. I do take Xanax but I also find that vaping does help tend to relax me. I am not on enough Xanax to tranquilize a fly but it does help take the edge off the anxiety.

@theddead Have you ever gotten panic attacks or do you have just plain ole anxiety??

yeah I have had anxiety/fear as far back as I can remember. Depression as well.
Tranks help but doctors do not want to keep giving them to me. so I just suffer along...
But the just going from one thing to another aspect of Aspergers is something I did not know but explains so much to me.

Why I am good at a lot of things do not stick with much of anything for too long. Just whip it and move on.

I really like that we can tall about it here.
We have a lady from MN, a crazy guy in Amish wilds of PA, KY and chicago?
What are the chances of that happening without the interweb?
    I'm loving it.
    And you folks are great.
I think more and more folks will say hi.
    Sty least I hope so.
I had a bad panic today.
About 2 hours ago and I'm doing better,
But I still wonder if I need a xanax?
    I'm gonna try for no.
