Without modifying them the best way is to wind you cil around a 1/16 drill bit. Use 32 ga or 30. I use 32 for the small coils. About 5 turns I think will give around 1.8. leave the coil on the bit and put the leads thru the bottom of the housing while dropping the bit down in the wick slots. Secure the leads of the coil using the rubber grommet and the pin. The wick. That is a bit tricky but gets easier with practice. Put the top stem on. Trim the wick close or it just gets caught in threads and pulled loos on one end and floods. Then put the little rubber grommet thingy on the top. fill the tank put the base and coil in and let sit for at least 5 min to get the wick wet. Then vape.Too tight, and I don't remember what happened when I tried less cotton, other than it wasn't good.
The EVod and T3 coils are interchangeable. I do not think you can swap single coils for dula coil ones though as I think the coil housing is taller on the dual coil ones.Yes, they work, but they've got to sit just right, or they don't make the connection, so I have to keep extending the pin out, which I don't like. I've read that the Kanger T3's work, so I'm gonna get some.
The smoktek coils smell and taste like rubber. Yuk. Maybe it's just the batches I've gotten from, but I've read about others having that problem with them.

Not done it but should be ok to put a single cotton coil in the stacked dual housings. I actually filed out an oval coil winding form which should work for doing a single in those dual housings. It is about 1.5 mm wide and 2 mm tall. I wound Ellipticoils on it. holds more cotton and should fill up the dual coil slot nicely. I had a couple of dual coil Evods but gave them away before I used up all the premade coils. Did not care for them.Dual coils, yes. Stacked? Hmmm... I'll go look....
Yes, stacked.
The problem with evod/protank coils in the aero 2 is that there's very little room for error, and after pulling the pin out slightly (that's what I meant by "extending"), the next device might push it back. It usually needs adjusting when moving it to another device. If I understand your suggestion (which I might not), that's more like what I did to make the Kanger evod coils work in the Evod glass, using a mini Protank base. The EVod and T3 coils are interchangeable. I do not think you can swap single coils for dula coil ones though as I think the coil housing is taller on the dual coil ones.
The Genuine Kanger Evods I got came with the long stem T3 coils in them. I got some clone evods that had the short coil in them.
To extend the pin cut the top flange off of a center pin grommet and slide that up on the center pin before inserting it into the usual grommet/insulator. Should work.
I just use a bic lighter to anneal the wire before wrapping. I do not heat afterwards or dry burn or squeeze, etc on the Kanger BCC coils.I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're saying, but maybe it'll make sense while I'm in the process. I remember the first time I tried rebuilding one -- I had accidentally disassembled every coil I owned, and it took me three frustrated, vapeless hours to get the first one done. (my learning curve started with how to use a butane torch). That was the closest I'd come to smoking in 12 months.
Not fuss-free enought for me. Besides, I don't have the tinkering skills you have. I obsessively tinker, but very crudely. Not done it but should be ok to put a single cotton coil in the stacked dual housings. Lemme look for my fav vid on how to build the coils.
I do it pretty much like this lady does, except I use a 1/16 drill bit instead of a toothpick. And I do not do the heat thing after wrapping.
I reread what you said. I misunderstood. If I understand your suggestion (which I might not), that's more like what I did to make the Kanger evod coils work in the Evod glass, using a mini Protank base.
I prefer using a 2.5mm coil form with 32 gauge nichrome wire and no flavor wicks after installing I flatten the coils slightly to give a larger air channel around the coilI just use a bic lighter to anneal the wire before wrapping. MFS has 40% off on their coils right now. Stil might be a better deal somewhere else though since they are not really cheap to begin with.I reread what you said. I misunderstood.
I can't do that because even with how I just pull it out a bit, it pushes the center of the next device too much sometimes, and then I have to adjust the pin on other tanks. I'm looking forward to getting some T3 coils, or whatever they are. I've got a link bookmarked, ready to purchase very cheaply.
@Robert Cromwell @NoFumus @nicnik --- Okay, I see what's going on around here. You guys are trying to psychologically manipulate me so that I will slowly become a tootle puffer? You guys are using my own tactic against me? I have been using this tactic on @Robert Cromwell for a couple of months in the hopes that I could slowly implant the thoughts in him to become a modwomper and now you guys are doing the same thing to me

I've seen over hanging with the tootle-puffers. Are you just there to heckle?![]()
