I used to replace the smaller batteries and they were always warped. Sometimes really difficult to get out of the APC. Not sure what kind of batteries they were, but I'd never buy one of those for my house now.those things have lead acid batteries in them. It was likley not the batteries that aused the problem but a transformer or something that overheated and burned. Lead acid batteries do not burn, they give off hydrogen gas that can explode though
I have worked with several APC backup power units and all of them had sealed gel cell lead acid batteries in them. If the batteries only have 2 leads on them they are pretty much guaranteed to be lead acid.
LiPo's generally have separate charge leads and many have temp sensors in them.
Yep lead acid and those were not changed out when they should have been. old/dead sealed lead acid batteries will overheat while charging and deform/swell up. If a power outage they would not have worked but for a minute or two if at all.
A power backup should have preventive maintenance or it will not work at all when needed most. APC batteries should be changed out at least every 2 years.

I have no idea how long those things weren't changed out. Most of them weren't even working anymore. When I got to that campus it was a mess. I think I replaced around 300 batteries!
I treated my self to a mutation x v4 today time for some Clapton's or temp control

I'm not a sweet eater (I'm a salty crunchy person. Gimme chips!) but my weakness is baked apple desserts. OMG and toffee and caramel with apple?!?! Heaven in a pie.

I like all kinds of snacks/foods, with salty and sweet.... I like my chips but I also like my chocolate.... Just don't get around me with cheesecake because I will eat most of it and none will be left for anyone else
I'm loosing it guys. Like seriously I'm trying to keep my emotions together and I can't. It is starting to spill over into work so I dunno.
