By wicking holes/tangs I assume you mean where the atomizer connects to that castle tower looking bit? If that's the case they are covered, I'll give it a turn.
Other than that I've been messing around and I think my initial problem was running on a low charge.
Now I think it's mostly just a matter of preference.
With the largest air hole open and running at 28 watts I get a massive hit with a decent cloud to follow. A few hits then almost has me buzzed off the nicotine. I quit smoking when I switched to vaping several months ago and use 24 MG juice. I'm sure switching to a lower nic level would solve this. But I'm wondering if the atlantis' s small tank and significant increase to battery usage is even worth it to me for the minor increase in flavor and vapor.
I think I'll get some low nic juice and keep this around the house for when I feel like becoming a human fog machine. As far as an everyday alternative to cigarettes though, I'll stick with the nautilus.

IMHO 24 mg is too high to sub ohm as it will definitely mute the flavor. I just recently reduced my nic from 18 to 12 an noticed a huge increase in flavor. YMMV.

Just picked up the atlantis today and it's nowhere near what I was expecting. I use a dna 30 and with the nautilus (1.8 ohm coils) I got nice flavorful hits and was satisfied with the clouds I'd exhale. This is running at 10 watts.
I screwed in the atlantis (.6) and it just doesn't feel like I'm getting nearly as "thick" of a hit. Hardly any cloud. Any idea what the issue is? Should I be cranking up the wattage to get it where I was with my nautilus?
Any help is greatly appreciated

My Atlantis developed a really bad throat sting, not a burn but a sharp stinging feeling, followed by bad coughing. I suspect the wicking material was breaking down. I rewicked with Japanese cotton and now it's great again. I've tried high VG and regular mix. I prefer the high VG with very low nic, about 3 or 4. It doesn't need much power, mine works great on my unregulated, dual 18650, mosfet box.:p
