RE: Aspire Nautilus
Considering MyFreedomSmokes is selling them for 15.95 and VaporWorld is selling them for $18.99, I presume it's replacement is on the way.

I'm tempted to order a bunch and selling them on eBay as they are running for almost double that on there.:2cool:

I noticed this note

Note: The Aspire Nautilus replacement coil heads will only work with its own designed version. The standard Aspire BDC coil heads are not compatible.

Do the new bvc work with this?

Yes, the Nautilus Mini BVC works in the larger Nautilus. They are referring to older model Aspire BDCs (like the ET-S) not fitting in and working in either one of the Nautilus models. The larger Nautilus tank BDC head would actually work in the Mini version of the tank, but there isn't really any benefit to doing that.

What they mean is that the Nautilus coils only work in the Nautilus and their other BDC coils for other tanks won't work in the Nautilus. Any Nautilus will take both the crappy original Nautilus coils or the new BVC's. If you order a Nautilus I'd also order a 5 pack of the new coils because the two that come with it most likely suck .

Has anyone got the 1.6 ohm ones? I'm trying out 1.6 ohm BVC on a regular sized Nautilus. Working VERY well so far, might prefer the 1.8 though, since the wire inside isn't that thick so it heats up super quick, not sure if I like that as much as the 1.8 ohm.

But damn, these BVC on a regular Nautilus makes it a BEAST. I think I'm ready to sell my Russian woot!

I was curious which resistance rating would be better to order the Nautilus BVC head in as well. I'm just waiting until I get my Mini, which comes with one of each. That way I can try out both, then order whichever I prefer in greater bulk. It will probably depend a lot on the juices you prefer, and how you vape, so advice from others on the best may not be the best for you. I would recommend getting both types of BVC head. Try them both out with how you end up preferring to vape the new style head, which may be very different from how people vaped on the previous BDC head in a Nautilus. It sounds like you may like both, but will just prefer one over the other, so you'll still be able to use up the runner up choice without losing much in the way of vaping pleasure.

Anyone know how to clean the BVC's? Like if I want to change flavors of my juice ? It is not addressed in my Nautilus Mini instruction book and I can't find
the info . Can you rinse these BVC's and dry burn them like a pro tank or RBA coil ? I got an extra 5 pack of coils with my order but at the price of these coils I am not
about to tear apart a perfectly working one to see the inside.
Also it is very difficult to remove the bottom portion of the tank to refill. I am careful not to cross thread when I put it back together after filling. Today when I went to
refill it I had to use rubber jar grips to get the thing apart. I did not over-tighten it when I last refilled it, just hand tightened it until it stopped screwing in.
Anyone having trouble removing the bottom tank piece to refill?

So I put the stainless replacement tank on my Nautilus mini and found something out.
Unlike the regular size nautilus stainless tanks, where you have to remove the chimney and top cap, the Nautilus Mini Stainless tank is one piece. There's not really a 'top cap', the chimney and top cap are one unit, all you do is screw the base hardware into the stainless tank, and pop your mouthpiece into the top.

There are extra o-rings on this tank than the original nautilus, especially the stainless version, so it's a little bit harder to screw the base hardware onto the tank.

I must be doing something wrong, but for the life of me, I don't know what it is.

I've got the BVC heads in both a new Mini and a regular Nautilus, and it just ain't cuttin' the mustard. The vapor production is quite good, but the flavor
is so muted. I mean REALLY muted. One is the 1.8Ohm head that the Mini came with, and the regular Nautilus has a 1.8Ohm head from a 5-pack. I guess I'll try out one of the other heads soon but like everyone else is saying, they are dang expensive.

I've tried the Mini on a few Twist-type VV devices, usually around 4.8V. And the big Nautilus is on my Cloupor clone at 15W/5.3V. I've had much much better flavor from the .9Ohm Kanger heads in an Aerotank Mega.

I'm more used to the Taifun GT with a 28 gauge micro coil and cotton at about .8Ohms, and that's become my benchmark. I'm not expecting the same experience, but the overwhelming praise for the BVC heads has me sorta flummoxed. I let 'em sit for a good 10 minutes before taking a drag. I'm not getting any gurgling or leaking, and no burnt taste. Just not much flavor at all, with lots of different VG/PG ratios.

edit:
I first suspected ye olde vaper's tongue, but my other gear is still kickin' out the flavor just fine.

I can't speak for the flavor compared to a Taifun, Kayfun, Rebuildables, or drippers. I've used clearo's pretty exclusively since I started vaping, and I can say this is the best flavor I've ever had from a clearo, using these BVCs.
I think you might just be used to getting MORE flavor from your rebuildables.
Try a higher voltage setting maybe? Or maybe decrease your voltage?

Thanks for the input! I've already tried a whole range of voltages. Above about 5.5V I start to get a hint of that "overcooked" taste so I haven't gone above that.
I haven't given up yet. I actually really like how these things look so I'm sorta hellbent on getting them going.
