Hi all,

I have an Aspire Vivi that uses BDCs (which I love) and an Aspire BDC Pyrex tank (which I am less than thrilled with btw, much prefer my evod), I know that the new nautilus mini has a new coil BVC, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if those coils will be interchangeable in my devices.

Thanks!

Anyone if they're worth it to someone into rebuilding Kayfuns? I stopped buying clearos a long time ago. Basically, when I switched to cartotanks. Now I'm building my own coils with cotton in various different toppers. I've resisted the urge to try the Nautilus due to mixed reviews on the coils. These new coils are intriguing though. If they can offer similar taste to my Kayfuns, it may be worth grabbing one for at least my husband to use if I don't have the time to maintain all his tanks...

After going through dismal coil life with Kanger and Aspire, I finally bought a Kayfun and really couldn't care less about going back. If the new coils prove to be long life, I'll probably bite.

At this point, it's not that hard to take the Kayfun down to the point where I dry burn the coil, install a new cotton wick, and vape for a couple of days more.

I bought a couple of the big Aspire Nautilus that were on sale for 16 dollars to try the new coils. First I tried the ones that came with the Aspire...they were horrible! No matter what I did it would taste burnt and they were fully primed. I put the news ones in it and now it works wonderfully!

Interesting you had that experience as did I. I think it has to do with DOA stock coils which seems to be common with nearly every tank I had, I prefer Kanger coils personally (upgrades) but the Aspire BDC have also served me well. BVC are very new on the market and have long way to go to be proven. They produce nice clouds and warm vape but suck your juice like lightning.

I can also verify the BVCs work in the regular full size Nautilus. I ordered a pack of them directly from Aspire. Vapor production and flavor are both great. And it's not only already outlasted my BDCs but it doesn't give me the problems with dry/burning tastes that BDCs do.

The price is a bit steep, $20 for a 5 pack, and for me the cheapest shipping was still around $8 I believe.

Although I do in fact use it more often than my Kanger Aerotank Mega, I do still use the Kanger on occasion, and I'd never throw it to the side or discard it. When using the BDCs, I typically used it and left my Nautilus to be less used.

While the Kanger coils aren't as good as the BVCs in my personal opinion, the Aerotank Mega is still a good tank. And even if the BVCs have fixed the whole quality control problems Aspire has with coils, the Kangers are still significantly cheaper...

I've noticed this as well. With the BVCs I'm refilling my 5ml Nautilus as often as I have to fill my 3ml Aerotank Mega. Although I do use the q-tip trick when filling my Mega to get a bit more liquid in it.

I had a tooth extracted Monday, and to help avoid dry socket, I've kept moist gauze packed on the extraction point as well as kept my Nautilus airflow wide open. I've noticed it seems, SEEMS being the keyword there, that it's been going through less liquid. Which to me makes no sense, because I haven't adjusted my voltage or anything else, and I'd think it'd still be vaporizing the same amount.

It may very well be using the same and this is just in my mind. The dentist I went to was an absolute barbarian and I'm still in pain from it, taking my prescribed hydrocodone as often as possible, so it's worth mentioning that I haven't been exactly mentally clear during this time...lol

No I'd say you're perfectly clear. The BVC's just go through juice much faster burning at higher frequency. I prefer Kanger coils and the upgrades have been spectacular. Interestingly enough the Nautilus BDC has performed better than the BVC in my experience. Although, the BDC for the other Aspire tanks have been nothing short of great. Be careful with your dry socket (5 days) is not a long time give it at least two more weeks before you suck in air/juice. When I had wisdom tooth pulled a while back I smoked and it created a lot of complications (unimaginable pain) so I never forgot that experience. Please be sure to let it heal completely and get better:)

Thanks. That description was the first thing that I have seen that definitively says that it is compatible w/BDC products other than the Nautilus.

No it is not. The Nautilus coils are different than the standard Aspire BDC coils.

The Nautilus BDC and BVC coils only work in the Nautilus and Mini Nautilus.

Oh believe me, I'm still being extremely careful. I had no complications when I had my wisdom teeth removed, but I did develop a dry socket after a different extraction, and like you said, it's excruciating.

And yeah, the "upgraded" or "new" (depending on the website... lol) Kanger coils work amazingly. I just wish my Aerotank Mega had a higher capacity (even using the q-tip trick). I'm strongly considering buying the Giant. The only reason I'm reluctant is because even with the tank ring, I think its so large that it'll ruin the aesthetics of my Provari, which is my most commonly used device.

I still may very probably get one. I bought my Mega when i bought my Nautilus and saying my Mega was utilized for a while is an understatement. Personally, I had nothing but problems with the BDCs. I was about to throw the Nautilus into the "Useless S--t" bin before hearing the rave regarding the BVCs. And honestly, even these BVCs do in fact seem inferior to the Kangers. After about 4 days, the BVCs seem to produce much less vapor. I just recently started using this type of clearomizer style tanks, so I don't know if I just need to dry burn the BVCs or what... But it generally takes a week and a half for my Kangers to start doing this...
