Dude told me my Sony's were too high amperage for a Nautilus....

Dude told you wrongs.

The max amperage a battery can safely deliver has nothing at all to do with the amperage drawn by the dude's atty. Amps drawn is all about the dude's voltage and resistance.

Oh, and tell the dude that the cowboys suck.

lol.

But yeah, there's no reason a Kanger tank should have any problems with a mech mod. THAT SAID!

Back in the day, when the Aerotank first came out (not that long ago, really) I threw it on my Panzer (because it looks pretty darn fresh on the Panzer), and tried firing it. My mod heated up super quick, button got hot, pulled battery out and it was quite hot. Dunno how, but the Aerotank caused a short in my Panzer. Nothing else has done that, ever.

when I got my first Nemesis , it worked fine with ProTank 2(albeit with my own 1.4 coils)
I like the size and form factor compared to my Vamo in 18650 mode.
No worries with VTC5

Basically you just are not using a mech to its full advantage , which is sub ohming, plus you really can not adjust wattage or voltage as you cam with a regulated device.

Now I use my Aspire BVC at 15 W on my IPV2 all the time, so if you are not ready for RDA or RBA's , that might be another option to best use your tank systems.

Whatever brings joy you your lips and gums !

I've got several devices, 6 mechs, 3 provari, and a few oddball itaste stuff. I just had the spring on one of my Nautilus heads disintegrate into pieces, asked a guy I know who owns a shop, he asked what mod I was using, which was a nemesis with a VTC4, that's when he made the claim. I just figured it was old and had worn out....

Sony 30A batteries are overkill but will work just fine. Your battery voltage and coil resistance determine the amperage draw from the battery. With a 1.8ohm factory clearo coil (for example) you will only pull 2.3A out of a fully charged battery.

Yep, kinda like an over-grown EGO battery...
