Thank you for that. They never replied back to me. Well, at least now we know for sure.
All the device is made of stainless steel, except for part of the chimmy, which we marked out with red circle.
When we was developing this product, our first thought is to use stainless steel, but after amout of testing,it turns out that it is not easy to build shape. Then we choose the plated brass, what's more,we nickelizing on the surface of the the plated brass, all of our products passed the CE and RHos authentication, which are safe to use.
Sincerely sorry for the disturbance!
Thank you very much again for friendly suggestion
Best regards![/I]
For what its worth .
lol - and what did all those US vendors do who sold those misrepresented tanks? not much, in my book - if they exerted any kind of pressure it might have led to the v2 but you had to buy all over again
in comparison look at fast tech. when the taifun gt base was found to contain brass last year around this time everybody received an all ss replacement free of charge. i know that for a fact - i received mine
my money goes to fast tech until US vendors stand up for their customers
This is how you advertise real stainless steel. You do get what you pay for.
The Kayfun V4 is made from 1.4404 (X2CrNiMo17-12-2), AISI 316L, (V4A) stainless steel. This is an extremely high quality steel, normally used for medical purposes and dental technology.
I don't wrap coils but I might just start as the Kayfun V4 will also come with the new Provari P3 threading.
I didn't wrap coils too. But after this chimney thing, I forgot all about Nautilus and Atlantis etc etc and got myself a Kayfun. And it is sooo easy to wrap a coil, wick it, fill it with some juice and just enjoy![]()
I'm going to wait till the kayfun V4 is out as I want to see just how great the new P3 threading is compared to the 510. Gosh another hobby wrapping coils. Not sure if I am there yet.
I have read a lot of this thread and apart from the fact that they made an error in the description I'm at a loss to see what the problem is.
Do you all think that you are suddenly going to die from chromium poisoning?
OK, so what other brand of tank can everyone recommend as far as working as well as the Aspire Nautilus will? Meaning, does anyone out there make a similar tank that is known to be completely made of stainless steel and glass/pyrex? A friend of mine was just about to sell me an Aspire Nautilus for cheap, but now I am hesitant to take it, yet I read the reviews to be off the charts.
I am also not quite ready to take on making my own coils, so any advice for a tank without brass in it would be greatly appreciated.
So, I have an update--of sorts. I sent two more emails to Aspire, including one to their CEO Mr. Liu. I also registered on their website and tried to ask a follow up question in their Support-Faq subforum wrt the fiberglass in the coils. My post must have been censored as it never appeared on that thread, but when I checked the thread this morning, to my astonishment, I discovered that Rep. Tina's answer assuring us all about the safety of the "ceramic" used in the BVC coils and the attached PDF file (stating that the material is fiberglass) have both been deleted. So now the thread only contains the old question somebody asked back in August.
Curiouser and curiouser.

how does the manufacturer make an 'error' in the description?they know full well what is used in their products but they also know 'all glass and ss' sells much better and allows for a higher price than nickel/chrome plated brass.
