The tank is stuck on the bottom hardware. This has to be due to a vacuum. I've seen many threads about using pliers, rubber bands, rubber gloves, but none of these work for me, as the vacuum is so tight, I managed to twist the skin off my finger. I have no idea how to break this vacuum, and it's really getting to me. Please somebody help.

I used a small pair of mole grips. .Until I bought a different tank.
Just avoid gripping the air valve....

I've been cursed with these large hands. I put electrical tape around the bottom for better grip, put a pair of rubber bands over that, and then used pliers to twist. Still nothing. This has to be the worst vacuum stick in nautilus history.

I had exact same issue..it drew blood... I was about to smash it.. remembered the mole grips tucked away in my tool bag.

I finally got it. It took clamps, electric tape, gloves, rubber bands, all of my strength and my built up rage from the entire debacle. Now here's to hoping it never gets that stuck again.

You ever get some of your juice on your fingers and notice that it can get a bit sticky? Instead of vacuum it could have been juice on the threads. To keep this from happening again maybe you could clean the threads after filling. I would have taken the thing to the sink and let hot water work for me.
I learned that after trying to remove the lid from a jelly jar years ago. Came close to throwing that jelly out. :D
