I got my triton yesterday. Beautiful tank. Put the 1.8 ohm coil in and had a vape. Flavor and airflow are top notch. Woke up this morning to find the tank was empty and a puddle of juice in the stand it was sitting in checked all my connections and found nothing visibly loose even the coil. Strange. Washed and refilled. We'll see if it happens again. Anyone else experienced any leaking?
When you filled the tank, did you close off the air flow control base before turning the top into fill mode? After reading @Rixsta thread on the Freemax Starre Pro, I'm pretty sure that I didn't and that may be the cause of my leaking. Will need to give this a try later when the tank needs to be refilled.

I made sure all was tight and refilled this morning. So far so good. No leaks. I did notice that the 1.8ohm coil floods fairly easily. I switched it out for the .5. I'll see how that one does. Shame though cause I bought it primarily because of the 1.8. I was hoping to replace my nautilus.

Because they could sell the RTA for a separate price, thereby making even more money. Have you watched Phil Busardo's review of the Triton and the RTA kit? Apparently you cannot rewick the RTA without removing the coil. Although he does give the tank itself rave reviews. You can tootle puff all day long on this tank with the 1.8 ohm coil or chuck clouds with the sub ohm coils.

I did watch it, and even he put it in his con list. I get it, they make more money. But if you get the tank and RTA section from the same source it's close to the same price as a subtank. Besides money I believe they wanted to get the tank out and deal with the RTA after the fact.

Yeah I think the RTA section of it is a bit strange, only in comparison to others. I guess we'll see when someone gets the full setup on here. I feel like I get a more informative response from my ECF gang lol.

It also seems of late that my ADT has been a subtank and now that I have the subox rta section with the huge wick holes I'm jazzed that the triton could have some seriously nice potential.

I ordered four Tritons from three different dealers. One arrived yesterday from EVCigaretts.com. This is what I wrote the other two dealers this morning.

I would like to cancel this order. I try not to blackout on deals. But I received one of the Triton tanks yesterday from another dealer. My intention was to eventually buy four to replace my Aspire Nautilus tanks. This new Triton tank is quite possibly the worst tank I’ve ever owned. No matter what the power or air flow settings are, it spits hot juice in my mouth. And it’s not the coil. I used the supplied 1.8ohm coil for a couple of hours before thinking I just got a bad one. I’m glad I bought an extra set of 1.8ohm coils from the same dealer. Right now I have one coil running in an Atlantis I on an MVP 3.0 at 10 watts and it’s great. A coil from the same pack, also running in an MVP 3.0 at 10 watts, is just awful. So, if possible, I’d like to cancel this order. Please let me know. Thank you.

IMHO, Aspire screwed the pooch on both the Atlantis 2 and the "improved" Nautilus coils. I once had 16 Nautilus Minis and six full-sized. Other than two on display in my no-longer-used collection, I'm down to just three full-sized. And they were going in the trash as soon as the four Tritons arrived. Now I'm not sure what to do. One of the dealers wrote back that the shipment had already gone out, and I received mixed messages from the other dealer, so I don't know where that stands.

After sitting with no use all morning, the Triton seems to be working a bit better, although it is LOUD. The 1.8ohm coil is loud in the Atlantis I too but nowhere near the roar of the Triton.

Unless I am sub-ohming, and that's not very often, what is working best for me is a Subtank Mini base with a 4ml bell cap from Sweet-Vapes topped with a organic glass aka plastic drip tip from a Joyetech eGo One. And, I almost forgot, the 1.5ohm Kanger coil. Nine bucks for the base, five for the bell cap and two for drip tip is not a bad deal at $16, minus the coil. This setup is easy to fill, doesn't leak and is durable.

I'll probably play with the Triton at home for awhile, but the Subtank/bell cap job is my at and out-and-about setup, along with the Coolfire IV.

There is definitely a break in period for this tank. I have the 1.8 ohm coil and the first tankful was troublesome with flooding gurgling etc but the second fill is working great coil finally settled in. Running at 12 watts bottom airflow wide open. Drip tip airflow closed. I have a smaller drip tip installed and it is a pleasant mouth to lung draw. It's working well enough now that I ordered another one today. I'm finally going to retire the two nautilus tanks I have in service now.

What was your problem with the newer nautilus coils? I figure maybe if I understand that I may have an easier time understanding all of your Triton issues.

I second that. I've been using the Nautilus pretty much daily since the BVC coils first came out and I've been nothing but happy with them. The only problems I ever had was when I first got them and was trying to run them in the 7-9W range. Once I figured out that they work much better in the 13-15W range I haven't had a problem. I've been getting close to a month of use out of a single coil when using a clear 60VG/40PG juice at 15W.

If you dont mind me asking where did you find the 1.8 ohm triton coils? Ive looked everywhere. Even the places that have the tank dont have coils yet. Ide really like to find that rebuildable coil kit for the triton.

I bought my first Nautilus when they came with the BDC. It seemed every one of them flooded within a few minutes. I pretty well gave up on the tank. But I'm a sucker for new stuff, so I gave the Mini with the BVC coil at try. Wow! What a difference. No flooding. Good taste. Lasted a long time. Wound up buying a bunch of them. I would use the Mini on an Innokin VV3. I had eight going at once. I'd take four with me to work, all running the 1.8ohm coil at nine watts with Space Jam Eclipse (50/50). I'd generally vape one tank in the morning and one in the afternoon, but sometimes more depending on how often I could get outside. Then at home I'd have six full-size tanks going with different juices at generally higher VG. I never paid much attention to how much juice went through each coil. When it got to tasting nasty, I'd remove the coil, take apart and wash the tank, then start all over. I don't know when I first noticed, a couple of months ago, I think, that the coils didn't seem to last as long. And by that I mean the juice would get darker, and when I'd remove the coil I'd notice a big glob of juice at the tip of the coil and there'd be juice in the bottom. I figured I'd gotten a bad batch somewhere and didn't pay that much attention. I buy from several places, so I couldn't pin down the bad coils to one dealer. I finally got fed up and went on the Aspire forums and saw one complaint after another. When there didn't seem to be a solution forthcoming, I started playing around and hit upon the Subtank Mini base with the bell cap. I don't care for the looks, but it works well.

I will say that now that it's been about 24 hours and about three tanks of juice the Triton is starting to act better. I hope it works out. I like the looks and the top fill, but as with most tanks, the Atlantis I being the exception, I wish the drip tip wouldn't wobble around.

I'm right there with you on the nautilus tanks I had several of the mini and full size. For the past couple of years they have been my all day drivers. I too took a liking to the sub tanks and they replaced a few but I have a couple of juices that only tasted good in the nautilus at lower watts not to mention I missed that tighter draw and mouth to lung hit. My biggest complaint with the nautilus was the way the glass sealed to that base silicone gasket. Over time you have to keep getting it tighter and tighter to seal and it becomes difficult to loosen it. Im really wanting this triton to become my new nautilus. After a little breakin period it's performing well now with the 1.8 ohm coil and with my own drip tip there is no wobbling. That top airflow piece with the heat sink gets a little messy with juice even though I keep it closed. I'm still hopeful for this tank just can't wait till the coils are more readily available. I'm curious how good that rebuildable coil will perform.

Hey guys.. i just got the aspire triton today and i was loving it (besides not being able to take it apart and clean it..which is a bummer) but i just filled my second tank of juice into it and now i keep getting a little bit of juice in my mouth.. not a lot but enough to annoy me. Some one please tell me what could be happening to make it do this all of a sudden. Also do any of you have this tank and like it?
I don't have the Triton, but I have Atlantis V1 tanks, and a Mega...which I use ALOT now...
I would assume the Triton has a similar design.
Every time I refill, I remove the coil from the base, wipe off the exterior of the coil, thoroughly rinse and dry the interior of the base, and roll up a square of TP and slide it through the chimney, working all the way around the sides.
If the tank is empty enough, I rinse and dry the tank/chimney assembly.
Once I put it all back together and refill, I roll up another square of TP and slide it all the way down into the coil...spin it around and leave it there for five minutes or so.
After doing this, I get no spit back for about the first half of the tank.
When I start to get spit back again, I repeat the process of 'roll up another square of TP and slide it all the way down into the coil'.
I use mechs, and I've noticed that a fresh batt will also cut down on spit back.

I like flavor RTAs i.e. Eviva-T, Calix, Ataman, etc., but I picked up the Triton a week ago after trying it out in a local B&M and have been happy with the flavor. Using the .4 Ω coil, I've experienced no leaking whatsoever. I wanted a backup tank that I could use with prebuilt coils if I'm out and have something wonky happen with my RTA - plus this will eventually have the RTA system.

I regularly clean the DT and will periodically twist a "vapor" towel and run it up the juice chamber to clean out excess liquid. Haven't had any issues with juice in my mouth (on the Triton).

The thing I've found most interesting about this tank is - I normally vape around 13-15w and with the Triton, I vape around 30w.

Best Regards,
F2V

Is it also drinking the juice much quicker than you are used to?
I can't really say for sure as the Triton isn't my primary tank, but now that you mention it, I believe it does go through more juice with the higher wattage. Since I don't get the same flavor at lower wattages, I can't say if it would use less juice in lower wattage mode.

I really wanted to try the 1.8 Ω coils, but wasn't paying attention when I first filled the tank and found the .4 Ω coil was the one they preinstalled. When I tested the Triton at the local B&M, it had the 1.8 Ω coil running at 25w and the flavor was really good for a prebuilt.

Best Regards,
F2V

What drip tip are you using? Out of my batch I could only find one that's tight and it's super wide bore.
