I ordered four Tritons from three different dealers. One arrived yesterday from EVCigaretts.com. This is what I wrote the other two dealers this morning.
I would like to cancel this order. I try not to blackout on deals. But I received one of the Triton tanks yesterday from another dealer. My intention was to eventually buy four to replace my Aspire Nautilus tanks. This new Triton tank is quite possibly the worst tank I’ve ever owned. No matter what the power or air flow settings are, it spits hot juice in my mouth. And it’s not the coil. I used the supplied 1.8ohm coil for a couple of hours before thinking I just got a bad one. I’m glad I bought an extra set of 1.8ohm coils from the same dealer. Right now I have one coil running in an Atlantis I on an MVP 3.0 at 10 watts and it’s great. A coil from the same pack, also running in an MVP 3.0 at 10 watts, is just awful. So, if possible, I’d like to cancel this order. Please let me know. Thank you.
IMHO, Aspire screwed the pooch on both the Atlantis 2 and the "improved" Nautilus coils. I once had 16 Nautilus Minis and six full-sized. Other than two on display in my no-longer-used collection, I'm down to just three full-sized. And they were going in the trash as soon as the four Tritons arrived. Now I'm not sure what to do. One of the dealers wrote back that the shipment had already gone out, and I received mixed messages from the other dealer, so I don't know where that stands.
After sitting with no use all morning, the Triton seems to be working a bit better, although it is LOUD. The 1.8ohm coil is loud in the Atlantis I too but nowhere near the roar of the Triton.
Unless I am sub-ohming, and that's not very often, what is working best for me is a Subtank Mini base with a 4ml bell cap from Sweet-Vapes topped with a organic glass aka plastic drip tip from a Joyetech eGo One. And, I almost forgot, the 1.5ohm Kanger coil. Nine bucks for the base, five for the bell cap and two for drip tip is not a bad deal at $16, minus the coil. This setup is easy to fill, doesn't leak and is durable.
I'll probably play with the Triton at home for awhile, but the Subtank/bell cap job is my at and out-and-about setup, along with the Coolfire IV.
